You obviously have one biased history book you were looking at. Sorry to put it so bluntly. But sadly, Jewish people were kicked around, tortured and killed for centuries in Europe. They never had a real place to call their own. Thats why they fled Europe and went to the Middle East, more specifically Palestine. For the first time in their history, they were more powerful than another group of people and acted violentally and stole the Palestinians land.
