What is best thing for me to do when God is silent in my prayers? I've been praying for a job so that I can save up money a little bit before going into ministry. If I have no income before the campus ministry training starts, my parents would be really mad. I have option of doing self support for doing a ministry but my parents would be mad too. So I've been praying for a job to save up, but God is not opening up the door for my finance right now. I need to save up, pay debt a little bit. Ministry training is in january and if I have no money, what should I do? what is God's will? is his will not letting me work for a while and do self support? I want to do ministry training deep down in my heart but if he God is not opening up the doors for my financial situation, what does that mean? i've been trying to be patient but it is really hard. If you were minister, missionary or pastor, how did you dealt with financial situation before going into mininstry? what if parents say "No"????

sometimes when we're waiting for God to answer our prayers we already have preconcieved notion of how they should be answered. Then we He does answer we don't hear/see/realize it because we're so focused on what we think the answer should be...................
Could that be the root of your problem?
Good luck and patience to you.

Ummmm...I hate to say this but the last time somebody told me that he was praying for a job and God just wasn't coming through, I noticed that the fellow wasn't really applying for any jobs. There were many jobs available to him, from working at the deli counter at a grocery store to working on a garbage truck to washing dishes at a hospital, but he thought all of those jobs were beneath him.
So, first of all, make sure you're really getting yourself out there. Apply for anything, don't worry about how belittling it might be. Don't worry if it's part time or whatever. There are seasonal jobs as well.
If you're already doing that and you aren't getting hired, then perhaps God wants you to depend on Him even more. So pray more and study more and keep right on applying for jobs because you want to have your name out there when the situation changes.
Also, you should consult your pastor and ask if there are any business owners who belong to your church who might be willing to take you on as temporary help.

There is always a reason. You have to have faith that whatever is going to happen will be for the best. Maybe you not getting a job at the moment is a learning lesson for you which at this moment in time you do not understand. There have been times in my life when I have wondered why is this happening, but only down the road I thank God for that life's lesson. One thing is never doubt God because this is also a test on yourself.

Hi Mark,
Pray for doors to be open and doors to be shut.....and then wait patiently and see. God likes to suprise us at the last minute sometimes....to show us for SURE that it HIS power...not yours. Do your best to get where you think God wants you to go....but then TRUST Him to direct your path.
If He wants you to be in the ministry...then you are going to need a LOT of patience...maybe He is training you now.
I will pray for you to trust more.....not always easy.

Firstly do you know for sure that God wants you to go into ministry? perhaps you are not praying for the right thing here, maybe you should pray that God will reveal to you His holy will concerning this first.

Trust HIM and work to please HIM.
If GOD wants you in any ministry HE will make it happen for you.
Matthew 18:18-20
18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

God never answers prayers, ok?
He's got a Master Plan, and you expect him to deviate a single inch from it just to cater to your whims???
