I have bought it two days ago and had to take it back,and got refund,because it didn`t read any disc,and it was also freezing.
Did anybody have problem with this 40 gb version?
I am considering to buy a 60gb version.

Yeh i didnt even get mine out of the shop...something to do with a logistical error in the tealeaf dept

I have the 60Gb and I recommend getting that one anyways. The 60GB has the best backwards compatibility, and I haven't had any problems with it.
