Do they (scientists) establish God's existence the similar way any religious believer would do?

If a scientist were to try to establish God's existence it would indeed be done similar to that of a religious believer since there can be only one way to prove he exists- by simply stating "God is the cause of all creation".But, if the scientist is really keeping with the spirit of science, he or she would know that simply making that statement is not evidence that it is true. There is no mathematical equation that could prove God exists.Only mathematical equations to "suggest" he does and even those aren't very good equations.

Science and religion are not mutually exclusive. You can be very religious and still be a scientist. A long time ago I was both a physicist and a mathematician, I still believed in God and was not bothered by the differences I saw between scientific fact and the Bible. I will give only one example, in Genesis it says that God created the Heavens and the Earth in one day... And on the seventh day he rested. How long was a Biblical day? No where in the Bible does it say it was 24 hours long or a 1000 years long or any other rate of time. Therefore, I my beliefs are that science and religion can co-exist because the length of time that science says the universe exists is based on human time and not God time. God has no watch or clock.

I'm really not sure I understand the question. There are mathematicians who believe in god and those who do not. There is no known mathematical proof of her existence that I have ever heard of... but I do know some mathematicians view the very idea of math as some sort of proof of divine order.

And since you're going to ask the question... tell me, how is it that what you call 'any religious believer' has established God's existence. They may believe in it, but that does not establish anything but the need for belief.

I really think this question has close to no real meaning... no offense intended.

There is a scientific, actually, a mathematical reasoning that proves the existence of God, but it is much more complicated then the explanation that I can provide you.

Check out this website: http://www.reasons.org/

Dr. Hugh Ross has done many studies on this and has written plenty of books regarding this subject, do a search on amazon and I'm sure you will find a copy. Read it, its intense.

Gods existence is not proved or disproved by science..that is where religion and science diverge. Scientist interpret their findings of this Universe they study. If they believe in God they are like any other believer.

Scientists interpret evidence and lead to a conclusion.

Scientists do not start with a conclusion (god) and find evidence for it.

I have never heard of science interpretting god with mathematical reasoning. I have heard of various christians trying to do this but their attempts have been pretty pathetic.

In mathematics, there can either be a zero or an infinite in any universe, but never both. It is a law of mathematics. Since our universe has a zero, no infinite can exist. That is proof there is no God.

There is a mathematical formula supposed to "prove" God's existence by somehow referring to infinity or something, but unfortunately I can't remember what it is, and I have no idea how to read it anyway. :(

that is about the most rediculous question ever.
there is no mathmatics that can interpret God.
or science for that matter.
He created everything.
