I am puerto rican. My family has fought in WW1, WW2, and the Spanish Am. War. Why is it that in the US, mexicans try to lump me with what THEIR illegals are doing? If you are mexican learn that I dont have any relations with you. Dont group me with how your country is destroying the US.

actually I consider illegals like you second class citizens. I also see ignorant people like you (who group me with illegal immigration because everyone who speaks spanish is a mestizo ) as second class citizens. Not people who respect the law.

I don't know that the problem is with Mexicans... It's the PC group that labels *all* those that have anything what so ever to do with the language "Spanish" as a Latino. And as everyone knows (so they think) *all* Latinos think alike and have the same goals, beliefs, political leanings, probably religion, etc. Being grouped that way you (as a minority) are supposedly protected from the legendary (and bigoted racist) WASP. They do the same thing to Blacks (labeling them African Americans) for the same reason. It's about controlling your lives. What you can do about it is not to act or vote as a block. Be and think independantly. That confounds the media and others.

Everyone generalizes, because you have brown skin you're labeled as Mexican or Hispanic, if you have "yellow skin" you're Asian. Get over it, and you're ignorant for saying that Mexicans hurt the economy, have you done research, do you have proof, sources? Don't just rely on the "news" The "news" is run by white middle aged males. You only get one side, if you were an immigrant you would see the injustice but since you're not then neither do you care but you choose to ignore it.

I'll echo the answer in your other question but will agree that the cultures are different in the Latinos and the Mexicans but it's more Americans doing doing the grouping.
