....keep them for sentimental reasons? I was going through my contacts, and it reminded me of a cemetery. So sad to see old avatars like so many little tombstones. I just can't make my self delete them. I keep hoping someday Yahoo will have a fair review system and some may come back to life.

My question generated three ads for complete deletion software! I expected at least one funeral home.

Heh, I was going through the same thing a few days ago. Some of my deleted contacts come back, so I don't mind deleting their old versions that much.

It's the ones that haven't come back that I am not so sure about deleting.

BTW, while going through my contacts/fans list, one particular user showed up many times. She's had more than 20 deleted accounts, lol.

What a coinkydink!! I'd never removed my friends old deleted accounts until last night! The only reason I did is because some have had several (!) accounts deleted and I never knew which ones were still active, so I finally cleaned out the old ones from my contacts, but like Moon, I left them in my Fans for sentimental reasons. :) I felt like you do though--it was sad to remove them. :(( Maybe we could have some sort of memorial ceremony for them. LOL

Some them yes, but my favorites, I don't have the heart to delete. Acid Zebra has been gone for six months now, but I just love seeing his pink little avatar in my contact list, and I shall never delete Hypnopope. I guess I have faith that they will actually come back.

I keep almost everything, for sentimental reasons, but I have to delete accounts that were suspended from my contacts' list, to be able to add the new account, since Yahoo! only lets us have 200 contacts, and I already do. I keep them at my fans' list :)

I had to do this just a couple of hours ago. One of my contacts was suspended, and came back. I had to delete the "old" him, to be able to add the new one.

most of the time i don't realize the account has been deleted until the same contact adds me as a friend on their new account. So no I don't delete them unless I'm sure its a deleted account, which I'm never quite sure of.

Sometimes I don't know they got deleted because it is an every day occurrence. It is hard to keep up with the times. I know it probably makes me a bad contact.

Aweeee, I am new here so I only have a few contacts. I do not think Yahoo will let them back, but if you feel better keeping them, go for it!

If I know of any I do, and I add back my contacts/friends if I can reestablish contact with them.

Have a blessed day.
