She should do fine. It really doesn't severely "harm" the dog to have puppies first heat, but it isn't the best situation for her. She is still growing, so it takes nutrients from her body that she would be using for growth and gives them to the puppies. But it certainly won't kill her. It's like a young teen having a baby. It can happen, but it's better if they wait until they are mature.
Be sure to feed her well and keep her wormed. I take my dogs in for prenatal check-ups at 6.7, and 8 weeks. Large dogs have fewer whelping issues than small dogs, so your girl should be fine. I have never seen a large dog have a section at the clinic. I have seen a couple need to have puppies pulled to help them out, but no sections. That is simply not true. C-sections run about $350 at this clinic.
Good luck.

It appears you know what you have done id wrong a ***** is never to young to get pregnant and if she ties successfully with a male then the mating is a success. Your Dog Is very young to be a mum she is still a puppy herself,You could have taken her to the vets after the tie took place they have injections that can terminate ant pregnancy . You have too options take your dog to the vets and have the pregnancy terminated . Or let your dog have the pups. As she young there will more than likely be complications . Bringing happy healthy puppies into the world costs allot of money .You will need to know what you are doing as your dog is young , and you could risk losing her if you don't .A Young dog will more than likely need her pups born by c/section .So that is very costly .Then you will have to make sure she adapts to being a mum at such a young age she could reject the pups , and not allow them to suckle , so pups will die .You will need to supervise her 24/7 to make sure the puppies are healthy are you prepared to do this. This is just the basics there is a hell of allot more to it than this . The decision is yours , but that is a very big responsibility you have there?I would definately not like to be in your shoes good luck

I agree with the other posts about spaying her now and aborting the puppies. I don't know about the min. age for safe breeding of a Staff, but the do have large litters often 10+. I am sorry this accident happened to her and I hope your other half learns for it, but whelping always has risks at the best of times. Talk to your vet about it and they will probably agree that spaying her is the best way to make sure your girl has a long, healthy life. If she has her litter you could also face HUGE vet bills taking care of so many pups, and the heart ache of that will be more then aborting these pups now. She will get over it fine, so don't worry she will be upset about loosing unborn pups.
Not sure why my answer is bad :(

Smack your "stupid other half" upside his head ;-) 10 months is a common time for a ***** to come into her first heat. Smack yourself while you're at it. You should have either taken care of this earlier, or never left them alone.
If you have an intact male and intact female, sounds like you're planning to breed (but just not now)? They should BOTH be altered. ASAP. There are so many puppies out there that are in desperate need of homes. Sounds like this just recently happened? Talk to your vet about what's involved and if she'll be ok.
No dog should be bred until at least 2 years old. She's way too young. If you let her have this litter, you may get lucky and she'll have a safe delivery. Or maybe not. You could lose her and all the pups too.

How long ago was this? If it was recent, it may not be too late to have the vet do an emergency spay. If nothing else, you at least need to get your male neutered so it never happens again.
No one can tell you if your dog is going to be okay. She's young - there is a very good chance that she is going to have trouble and may very well die.

I think she will be ok if shes pregnant but you need to take her to the vet when she is at about 4/5 weeks. The vet can then tell you if she is pregnant and tell you what to expect. With her being so young, she might not know how to properly care for her puppies, so be prepared to bottle feed just in case, and also be ready to either assist in the delivery or to take her to the vet for the delivery.

She will PROBABLY be OK. You should (if you do not want the puppies) take her to the vet asap for spaying. It will also remove the unwanted pups. This scenario is common and you are somewhat responsible because you did not have the older male neutered already. If you don't intend on future litters, get them both altered. Your other half probably had no intention of her getting bred, but with a 2 yo unaltered male....puppies happen.

It's not a good idea to let her have the puppies. She's too young. It would be very hard on her physically and emotionally, and she probably would not care for the puppies which leaves you with bottle feeding every 2 hours for 8 weeks. She's also a mix, and there are already too many mixes in the world that need homes.
For the sake of your dog's health, I suggest an emergency spay. I know it sounds cruel, but it's the best thing to do for her. She needs to be spayed anyway, to prevent this from happening again, so you may as well do it now and save her the trouble of trying to do this at such a young age.

You can get this dog spayed to eliminate the pregnancy still. With a dog this young, I wouldn't be allowing the pregnancy to go full term. It could be a really bad situation and the mom could decide not to care for the pups, which puts you up every 2 hours to feed, day and nite.

You still have time to get her spayed. At least you don't need to worry about this in the future. Call your vet and schedule an appointment.

If you don't want the stress of having puppy's and believe me it is stressfull, messy, expensive, time consuming. Then take her to the vet and get her spayed. She is still a puppy so you will have to be extra carefull because she may loose alot of nutrients that SHE needs to grow herself a she is not fully formed yet e.g. calcium. You really need to be sure and get advise from your vet so you know the best plan of action.
Ask yourself this: Will you be around when she whelps, will you be able to afford to pay for an emergency C section should she get into difficalty (I just had to pay £500 to get one puppy delivered by C section). Will you be able to bottle feed 8 puppy's every 2 hours should she reject them the list goes on it's not as easy as people think.
Good luck and please please make and educated well tought through decision.
