Smart lady. All the above answers are wrong.

The organization you are seeking is for adult women and it is called.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths

The confusion comes because Locks of Love makes wigs for kids with long term hair loss like alopecia areata which is NOT cancer. Chemotherapy causes children to have hair loss but it is only short term so they are not eligible to get a wig from Locks of Love. The public just thinks because a child is bald they must have cancer and are not aware that there is a disease where normal children can permanently lose their hair. Locks of Love is for normal kids who suffer permanent loss of hair . . and not kids with cancer who only lose hair termporarily.

So, if you want to honor cancer patients than Locks of Love is the wrong organization . .if you don't care one way or the other and just want to donate hair to healthy, normal but bald kids .. that's fine too.

If you want to donate your hair for children who have cancer, than the following organizations make wigs for kids with cancer who have lost hair from chemotherapy:

Wigs for Kids - Not-for-profit organization providing hair replacement solutions for children affected by chemotherapy, alopecia, burns and other medical conditions.

Angel Hair Foundation - Provides funding to purchase a hair system for children in Oregon who have lost hair from cancer treatment.

Children with Hairloss - Organization offers assistance in the form of hair replacement to children under the age of 21 years.

Little Princesses - Provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Wigs 4 Kids - Provides wigs for children who experience hair loss from cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, lupus, hydrocephalus, burns and other disorders. [Michigan]

The program is Locks for Love.
You can get your haircut anywhere and donate it to them. You can even cut your hair at home.
You have to donate at least 10 inches of hair. Just put your hair in a loose ponytail at the nape of your neck, and cut straight across ABOVE the hairtie. Look on the Locks for Love website to see where to send it to.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but one major one is Locks of Love. There are others too, but hair must be donated a certain ways. Check out these links I posted for more info.

Any hairdresser can do this. If you tell them what it's for, often the haircut afterward is free or discounted.
