There are WAY more variables to consider than age. If you two dig each other, and have a fair bit in common, then why not give it a go and find out?

Yes, I do. I am 27 years old, and I am dating a 24 year old for over a year and a half now, and we are moving in together at the end of the month - yay!. But, when we first started dating, he was only 23. I had the fear that he would just be too immature still and not want to committ. Wow, was I ever wrong. I say go for it, with no worries. He really may surprise you in a lot of positive ways! Remember, age is just a number, not the measure of another person's intellect, and/or maturity level!
Good Luck!

I have discovered myself that age is not important, well not as important as it seems. Maturity matters. Sometimes guys like older women. I personally prefer younger but a while back I was looking at older. If he's really interested go for it. If it's the real thing it will last, if it's lust or just a fling it will last as long as a fling does. Don't think about it ending when you haven't started it...

If it doesn't, I doubt it'll be the age difference. Five years isn't much even in the twenties. When I was that age I dated both older and younger women by a fair margin and it wasn't an issue. Go for it, fall in love.

5 yrs isn't that much difference. If he were 10 yrs younger...I'd think twice about it...5? that's nothing. The older you get, the less it matters. When you were in high school, 5 yrs would have had everyone talking...cradle robber! ...but after high school...not so much. As long as you have a lot in common and he is as mature as you think he is...go for it.

If you really love each other it might. However, if there is no depth in your relationship you are doomed to failure. My suggestion is find out what is holding you together, if it is only the physical relationship it wont last. Start going to Bible believing church and start asking God to make your relationship a special one His way.

don't let it always depend on age and what others think. if you guys truly have feelings for one another, are interested, and have a lot in common, and if you see the relationship working, it definetly has possibilities.
good luck hun!
