so yea, i was just wondering if anyone knows who carries them, also what is a good "middle of the road" price range for an okay quality one?

Stores that sell scrubs, nurse uniforms, etc have them. I think I've paid about $30 for some of mine, but it's been a while. Just check your yellow pages for scrubs, give them a call and ask.

YOu can get a good stethoscope from most nursing/EMT/paramedic uniform supply stores. A cheap but servicable Sprague-Rappaport type one can run about $25-40. There are special Littman units which can run a couple or three hundred bucks.

Go to a store that specializes in medical equipment. I spent about $45 on mine. Not sure if there is an average amount one can spend. I have very small ear canal so it was great that it came with different ear pieces.
