I think these women should not be allowed to wear these (is it Bhurka's, I never paid attention in RE). If a british woman was to go to a muslim country, if she wore traditional dress (modern western clothing) she would probably be stoned to death in the street. They have to cover their hair and wear clothes that don't make their breasts/bum's stick out as it is. These muslims are such hypocrites. I have no time for them. If they want to live in this country, they should abide by OUR religious laws, NOT theirs. I have a few Muslim friends, who do abide by their laws and ours, they don't go out in full covered dress, I have no problem with them, it;'s the ones that are so pig headed "just because they are muslim, it makes them special." No time for them.

They certainly should not be allowed to drive.I beleive in wearing this type of gear attracts attention to themselves probably what they want to do.I do know that if you go into a Bank or indeed some stores you will not be welcome with a crash helmet on.That could be described as Racist but never is.In spite of all this we cannot dictate what a person wears in the street, but we can object to peoples attire in entering a buiding where it used by others.

If your unfortunate son is having nightmares about how someone is dressed, I can only imagine that he's been affected by your reaction to it. Why on earth should anyone be intimidated by someone else's clothing? It's people's attitudes that can be threatening, but I must say there are a lot scarier people out there than covered women.

In case you havent noticed the indigenous brits don't matter anymore, its all about immigrants and what they want.
If the stupid cow wants to dress in such a way, just tell your kids that she is a simple person stuck a couple of hundred years in the past.
The Koran does not say these women should cover themselves up so much, it says they should dress modestly.

Your son has every right to feel uneasy, because dressing like that is fundamentally wrong .Its not a religious thing its a cultural way of life in some quarters, yes right my a..s.If they want to wear that tat go live in the Taliban strong holds of Afghanistan[but they wouldn't because they would feel oppressed, poor souls] And that is the word really OPPRESSED,Their men folk want to oppress them that's the jist of it.ITS WRONG. If i want to see people looking like darlicks i'll watch Dr who.

Your son is scared because he is not used to seeing people look like this. Sure it is a little intimidating to him. Just let him know that under all of the clothes is a regular lady, just like you, she just dresses differently. He won't be afraid after he understands that there is no monster under those clothes.

They do look sneaky, don't they? I can understand why some children would be afraid. After all, some children are afraid of clowns too. I would reassure him and try to avoid these women until he is older and less frightened (same advice I'd give to parents of those children frightened by clowns.)

I used to be afraid of the Quaker on the box of oat cereal when I was a kid.
Now my kid is afraid of women wearing scary masks covering their faces, just like yours.
