My mom and I are both Christians, but we believe very differently. She's a fundamental Baptist, I'm a liberal non-denom.

She reads the Bible 100% literally. I don't.
She's a Calvinist. I'm not.
She believes in the traditional Christian ideas of Heaven and Hell. I don't.
I'm an open theist. This means I challenge a lot of the ideas of God's omnipotence, omnipresent, etc. She thinks this is blasphemy.
She thinks if you were once a Christian and now aren't, you were never a "true" Christian. I think that's as ridiculous as you probably do.

The list goes on.

That if you're a good person and try to live a descent life that is enough to get to heaven. Or that everyone chooses their own path, but it all leads to the same place. I don't believe that. I am what some would call a Bible fundie, I guess.

The Bible. But they don't beat me with it or anything. They believe they made a mistake by not raising me in a church, but I am VERY grateful to have been given the opportunity to decide for myself.
