I would argue it's the opposite. Many Muslims are illiterate so can't even read their book. Many Christians have what they believe is a personal relationship with Jesus.
There will always be conflicts between distinctly different neighboring tribes, so I would argue the conflict predates the establishment of religion.
The current major conflict is over the founding of Israel. The Israelis say they have a right to establish their own country and the people who lived there disagree. The displaced had no difficulty in finding allies in the Muslim world, so the conflict spread beyond the borders of Israel. The US has traditionally supported Israel unilaterally, so the enemies of our ally (as well as the allies of the enemies of our allies) put the US in the same camp as the Israelis.

Well Jews have been killed by Romans AND Christians when Constantine made Christianity THE religion.
All three of the Abrahamic traditions have had their "crusades" -tried to convert followers through war, city take over, etc.
It is my understanding that a Muslim memorized the Koran word-for-word and that is how he learns it...
Islam respects Christianity and Jewish followers as "people of the book" but believe they have strayed from Gods teachings. They are waiting for their hidden Imam to come back and lead them to God.
Christians believe that Jesus is the end all-be all final word of God, so Jewish Law and the Koran are automatically out on that point alone. Jesus is going to come back and the whole devil/666 thing will begin.
Jews believe they are waiting for a messiah, but Jesus wasn't it.
Based on these theological differences alone, you can see where they would have major rifts between them...
Jews and Muslims both worship at the same site in Israel and fight over it - the Wailing Wall area...not sure what its called in Islam, can't remember.

a million. Permit me currently to parent among 'Biblical' Chrstianity and scriptural Christianity. Judaism and scriptural Christianity each 'hold forth' freedom from different gods/Man. Hint; the Lord of Judaism was once Jesus. Islam has the 2 or extra idea; however I presently have no idea if they have got the 'concentrate to Jehovah' (Joshua a million,. two Tim. three:sixteen-17) idea . One might get into the change among freedom and dictatorship change right here.

generally christians and jews do not fight each other, i suppose you could say this happened in 1947 when the jews fought the british in palestine (eventually in 1948 the brits left and the state of isreal was born) you could say that from the christian point of view their defensiveness stems from the roman persecution 2000 years ago. i suppose the first case of true holy war was the crusades where richard the first(lionheart) took an army to the middle east to fight the saracens (moslems) led by saladin. strangely enough most wars and battles caused by religion are inter denominational fights within the same religions, examples...catholics and protestants in europe between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries ie english civil war, spanish inquisition etc... catholics against protestants in northern ireland last century, and the constant power struggles of sunni against shi ite moslems in the middle east. hope this helps and gives you somethings to look up on internet. im an athiest and prefer peace myself

Now see, I'm going to argue that one. Islam has an imam who helps interpret the meaning of the Koran, Christianity have preachers and scholars, Jews have Rabbi's.
However, I believe all are encouraged to read and find meaning in their holy books on their own.

Yes, it is true, although they have Imams they elect themselves to help them interpret it. Some Christians also take this stance though, some Quakers who are also Christians, for example. Rivalry - I think that the main reason is because of all the holy wars that have gone on. And misundertanding. If people just stopped and listened they'd realise that these three religions all have the same roots, and are actually pretty similar.

As a Jewish acquaintance of my pointed out.
Judaism is NOT Christianity without Jesus. They are both a culture and a religion. They did NOT stop growing and changing after the year 33 CE.

Do you mean its Christianity and Judaism against Islam or are all three of them against each other? I think the Holocaust was one of the biggest things the Jews hold against both Christians and Muslims. I'm pretty sure the Muslims have to read the Koran in Arabic and interpret it from there. I'm not sure about how they interpret it though.
