Yes. The truth of the Bible has set me free from many things.
Eccles. 9:5,10 and Jeremiah 7:31 sets me free from worry about hellfire and dead spirits.
I know there is much false religion out there as not all can be right holding so many contradictory beliefs. 1John 4:1; 1Thess. 5:21 and Acts 17:11 help me to see through all the deceptions. Show how to find the truth.
I learned there are two different kinds of works the Bible speaks of on the subject of salvation. Works like paying off someone and works like what God wants humans to do. The first as in Romans 10:13-14 does not lead to salvation. The ones in Matt. 24:14 does.
I am free from worry about world conditions. Now don't get me wrong. Bullets whizzing by my head worry me as much as the next person. The world news does not. (2Timothy 3:1-6) Before God's Kingdom on earth can restore paradise conditions to the planet and to humans, these things must happen.
I am free from most of the habits most of the world praises. Those that have no real benefit but much cost in both money and spirit.
Any more and no one will bother to read this and I am tired of typing.

Can I just say. Perception is not truth. There is actually a truth that must be sought. And I think it sets you free. Not always how we expect and not always in a feeling. We are still living in time and in the fall with all it's restrictions, so the feeling of freedom may not be yet. But it will come. I'm talking about being in Christ and that's where my hope resides.
If I was utterly free from the fall as some think then I would be free from thinking sinfully e.g. PRIDE, AND MANY MORE LOL so you people that think ya sinless and don't sin at all ask your selves this. Do you think horrible thoughts hmmmmmmmmm praps think about grace and what it means. Stay in fellowship and repent. We all fall short of the Glory and need to he humble innit. EVEN ME!!!!!

The truth set me free. The truth being that the thousands upon thousands of religions out there were all made up by men. That truth helped me see the light. 10,000 years men have been making up religions all with their own versions of creation, rules and regs. None are true thats the one thing they all have in common.

Define Truth. Define Free.
If you mean as in the Bible The truth shall set them free no because I've seen a lot of so called believers who are not free. And people will profess the Truth and not mean it. I live my life to the best of my abilities as my beliefssay I should but I don't concider myself as free. Because a man once said you must pick up your cross to follow me.
Have you picked up your cross?

This is just another of those senseless platitudes that gets repeated so much people believe it. The truth never set free any of the innocent who were imprisoned or executed, nor did it set free any of those poor women who were burned, drowned etc. for being witches.

Who the Son (Jesus) sets free is free in deed. I am truly set free by the Son who is the only Truth, the Way and the Light.

The Bible set me free. It is written with so many contradictions, and very bad geography, that I could not believe. So I was set free.
