you need a valance, then a panel or two on the left side of the left window, between the windows and on the right side of the right window. then maybe some soft or lace sheers between.
this makes the windows look larger and the wall alittle smaller. you can then have the drapes to the floor.

Try putting your window treatments further out from the actual sides of the windows. Ths tends to make the windows look bigger. Do use the ceiling to floor idea and maybe a sheer under your actual treatment to "hide" the gap. Hope this helps. Also, go to hgtv.com for some neat ideas.

If you want the window to look bigger you have to add casing to the perimeter of the window. The casing is a piece of trim made of wood and it can also be made of stone material or stone like material. Now, if you just want to make it seem that there is a bigger window without actually seeing the window you can install a large window treatment that is larger than the actual window. Make sure that if you do this the treatment is not trans lucid, because it will show what its behind.
Hope this helps

I had the same problem in my master bedroom. I used cornice boxes that my hubby made and I uphostered that are mounted to the ceiling and come just below the top edge of the window. We made the width wider than the window and hung draperies inside the cornice box at the sides drawn back. This makes the window appear both wider and taller than it really is. In fact, neighbors who have the same model home as we do thought we replaced the windows with bigger ones.

In addition to the window treatment ideas to make the windows look bigger, consider putting a large mirror on one of the adjacent walls of the living room. A mirror gives the illusion that a room is bigger than it is. And, if the windows can be seen in the mirror reflection, it gives the illusion that you have more windows in the room.

Actually, since you have that big space above the window by all means put the rods almost to the top and hang a blind right under and then lower the blind just to the top of the window..It will appear to be that your windows are now larger. This is what I did to my small bedroom windows and it opened up that space to make it look like my windows werent the dinky ones they indeed were. Good luck to ya.

Less is more! Go with some roman shades or just shears and your window will appear larger. If you go with curtains and shears, your window will look smaller. Especially if the curtains are floor length.

Are the partitions cocrete? if so, paint a huge white sq. on the wall , two times the width of the windw withe the window interior the middle. deploy an ornamental rod above the window and the phony "window you painted. carry rod-to-floor curtains to create the phantasm of an exceptionally great window or French doorways in the back of the curtains.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/4dZSW
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.
