Im naturally brown hair . but i dyed it black because it brings out my blue eyes. and i was wondering what highlights or lowlight colors whould look best?

Blue highlights would look awesome with your blue eyes.
I put in purple highlights trying to be daring and they looked red and normal and beautiful.
Gold ones look great too.

Ha,ha! you got so many answers, so fast! Might as well color it rainbow! No, really the people who wrote against any more color jobs on your already tinted black hair are probably right. You probably should 've highlighted some hair when you were doing the black tint or something like that. The tint esp. of the bright colors would need to go after bleaching your black hair and then puting the highlight color on which may not stay, come out in the washes..

Sometimes when trying to put in blonde or white highlights in black hair, if you don't have the right product they come out yellowish...
I think red highlights and Carmel in black hair look amazing.

I think hot pink looks good with black. The only problem is, black is hard to dye. You would have to lighten it for any color to show up, and if you try and bleach black hair, it will turn a nasty orange, so I really don't think you can do much with it, sorry.

I think for both highlights and lowlights blond or redish-brown would look nice. It depends on your hairstyle.

Get some really faint purple highlights!! I used to have them and they rocked!! They were so light that you could only see them when I held my hair up to the light!!

A lot of people use reddish colors to soften black hair a little.

plum/pink low lights are class with black hair just dye thick strips and do them all scattered that would be nice the more uneven the better but dont have too many it wont look as nice

I have very dark brown hair, my hairdressor, first lightens the shade of my hair to a chocolate brown, then we add a carmalized color to it....looks reat

i personally think that darkish brown highlights would look best as it would give ur hair a more natural look but i also think that pink or purple wud look awesome!
