Well let's us begin with this. You say 'dirty tricks', don't dirty tricks refer to someone manipulating you to get you to believe something? Sounds a lot to me like your pastor is the one with dirty tricks. You say 'facts' and 'big words', well see something you learned maybe in...5th grade? You know fact and opinion, the definition the difference, yeah that big 'ole paragraph you had to read to realize that facts are something that are derived from evidence as being 'true' and opinions are something that everyone has that seem true to their own minds or fit with what they believe.
So if big words are used that you don't understand, that means you are not educated enough to be able to comprehend what you are reading. This means that you can't possibly understand why, how, or even if it was betraying the 'gospel' in the first place. I hope you are educated enough to know if something is factual that means it had to have evidence to back it up; therefore, it isn't betraying the gospel, it is proving it wrong.
I know one thing, I neither hate freedom nor the troops.

My question to you is do you worship the Creator, or the gospel? I am not an atheist, nor do I hate freedom or our troops, but that Pastor of yours is basically saying screw what our troops fight for and ignore the fact that everyone has a right to what they say! I think whether or not we listen or believe it is up to the individual. I many not believe a lot of what is on here (and by the questions I have seen on here, most of it is from the ignorant people who have no real education), but they have a right to say what is on their minds and if I feel like enlightening them to the historical facts, I will or I will ignore them. My Choice! That is what America was founded on, not the ravings of those who want to take away our rights in the name of national security or religious fervor! It is up to you, not your pastor or President or anyone else, just you. Good Luck.

Atheists don't believe in, much less betray what ever gospel it is you are referring to. The real betrayal of the Gospel is the Catholic Priests that have been dating Alter Boys for all those years in the name of God. Using facts is get to the truth about things is a dirty trick. To back the Gospelites didn’t thin of it first.

Thats sad. somebody speaking of faith and being so nasty at the same time. Its what turns people off. Please try to be more christian like. God hates no one and is very slow to judge.
As a Christian to believe in the most peaceful man to ever walk the face of the earth. Hatred, judgement and blanket accusations are just so opposite of what He has taught us. Wake up. You will find that God will not be happy with people proclaiming His name to spew hatred and meaness to His creations and whether anyone believes in Him or not, we are ALL His creations and you should treat people no matter what thier opinions are, as such. Now, that doesn't mean letting a mass murderer into your home, but it also doesn't mean browbeating someone who is not exactly like you either. Jesus time and time again throughout His short life embraces those not accepted by society in the Gospels. How can you as a Christian miss that? And why do you feel the need to be so mean about it? The ONLY people Jesus ever showed anger for what the greedy people at the temple. The temple. Think about that.

Are you serious? Why do they use FACTS? If you're going to go against facts then you're simply not following logic. It's like saying this red pen is not a red pen. If you want to argue with people who are using "facts" then you'd be better off trying to prove that thier facts aren't necissarily facts. Otherwise you have a closed mind and the vast majority of people will see this and not listen to you. I'm not an athiest by the by.

Your pastor is afraid to think with his God given brain so he discourages you to do so. If too much knowledge confuses you, do what is best and easiest for you.
The fancy talk comes from education, which, if you had more, you would not be so easily politicized.
The religious right loves people like you. You don't know very much and you will never take the time to learn. You're perfect for them.
You have my sincere condolences.

I think everyone should read it and interpret it for themselves. We shouldn't rely on what other people interpret it as. If I believed my pastor I would believe that only christians go to heaven and everyone else is going to be judged with hell fire.
the bible says all man will be judged by one faith...all man. that when jesus was sacrificed it was finished on the cross..he was the sacrifice for the sins of all...
Pat Robertson says Islam does not worship the God creator, they worship another God...
Islam worship the creator! Ask them. They believe in the virgin birth of Christ. The Koran tells how Mary was checked to be sure she was a virgin.
I believe we should not judge others just because they are not Christian.. That does not mean they don't believe in God. We are all God's Children...Red and yellow, black and white!
I think God wants his children of the human race to come together for the good of each other.
Religion seems to be increasingly full of pride and prejudice...we need to be full of humility and charity!!!

whats dirty about backing up answers with facts? or having a proper vocabulary?
I love freedom too: freedom of ideas and the right to believe whatever I want.
I also deeply respect the troops fighting. they have a job that i'd never be able to do.
so?

My dear warrior, they do not use facts. They use pseudo-intellectual nonsense.
Like Darwin, the father of their "religious belief system", they have never studied the inner workings of the cell, such as the nucleus, mitochondria, the process by which raw materials is converted into usable energy in the cell, proteins and protein synthesis, DNA, RNA, et cetera.
They try to sound all intellectual, when in reality, if they took an honest look at our creation from the inside, they would quickly come to understand that God exists.
This very thing happened to Dr. Flu. I can't remember if he was working at Cambridge, or some other institute, but he was working on the genome project, and at the time, he was a professing atheist. After a closer look at the inner workings of the cell, he was forced to conclude that evolution was a lie, and God DOES exist. Mind you, he's not a Christian (at least not yet), but at least he now realizes the utter stupidity of believing in evolution.
For the honest seeker, there's plenty of evidence for God's existence. But God said that He would hide Himself from the proud, the arrogant, mockers, skeptics, and the like, but He said that He would give grace to the humble. He said (Jer 29), "If you SEEK for me, then you will FIND me, when you search for me with ALL your heart, and I WILL be found of you, says the LORD."
I agree with your pastor. Don't listen to these foolish atheists ("Thinking themselves to be wise, they became fools").
God bless you in your walk with the Lord :-)
