Pluto Not a Planet, Astronomers Rule

Pluto has been voted off the island.
The distant, ice-covered world is no longer a true planet, according to a new definition of the term voted on by scientists today.

"Whoa! Pluto's dead," said astronomer Mike Brown, of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, as he watched a Webcast of the vote. "There are finally, officially, eight planets in the solar system."
What do you mean scietist have been lying to us all these years? I am totally devastated by this, lol, not really, I have always believed in God over man.

HEY FOLKS YOUR MISSING THE POINT HERE.I WAS TAUGHT THAT PLUTO WAS A PLANET.IF THESE PEOPLE HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THEIR THEORY ALL THE TIME THEN SCIENCE ISN'T BASED ON ANY TRUTH WHATSOEVER.ITS JUST AS CHRISTIANS HAVE SAID ALL ALONG SCIENCE IS ONLY A THEORY.MY GOD HAS REMAINED THE SAME SINCE THE DAY THAT HE SPOKE THIS WORLD INTO EXISTANCE.

Wow Don! Just think about all the School teachers from Elementary to College who graded that one wrong about Pluto for so many years. Many kids who failed to mark Pluto as a planet lost points on their tests and possibly affected their final grade for their Science class.
I believe in God. He created all things.
He declared this in his word.
Isaiah 45:18
"For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else."

Scientists have decided that Pluto does not meet the definition of a planet. That is all. There has been debate about that since Pluto was discovered. A decision was finally made, that is all.
This is pretty nit-picky stuff to wonder about.
If you really want something to think about then think about this. In all of history, whenever science and religion have disagreed, science has always turned out to be right.

You are the one missing the point. It was never a theory that Pluto was a planet. It was a simple designation. A consensus was made on the definition of a planet and Pluto did not meet the requirements. It is no longer considered a planet. I have no idea why you see that as a reason to toss science aside. Science changes definitions thru time as evidence comes in that require a change in definition. You are looking for any reason you can to attack science. However, this is a pretty silly one to work with. Pluto is no longer considered a planet. That is not based on a change in theory or that scientists were wrong about planets. It just means that Pluto was not properly classified and now this is being fixed.

So, where in The Bible does it say that there are only 8 planets?
This proves God's infallibility, how?
At the time that it was named a planet, we didn't have the technology to fully examine Pluto. That's the wonderful thing about science -- it changes as we learn more, rather than sadly grasping at straws that are all but proven not to be there.
Your God has not remained the same forever. Jesus Christ contradicted and changed the Old Laws of God -- working on the Sabbath, eye for an eye, etc, etc ...

God is THE greatest scientist. He could have told them Pluto wasn't a planet--after all, He created it. All they have are theories that are subject to change, and they do change don't they? This isn't the first scientific "fact" that they'll change their minds about, and it won't be the last. But they always have an excuse as to why they were wrong, or they deny they were actually wrong (it was just our misunderstanding of what they really meant), and want us to continue to believe in their theories as facts. And they fault us for having faith in our Creator, who knows all things? I choose to place my faith in a God who is never-changing, rather than man who is ever-changing, thank you. :)) GBY brother.

Science does not disprove God.
Science cannot disprove God.
Science if anything proves with every new discovery that there must be a God.
By the the rules of science there must be a God, because something does not come from nothing.
All we see IS something.
Only closed minded, fame seeking scientists conclude that God does not exist.

Scientists and they're so-called fables are like everyone's version of rummy.

How is this God v. Science? All that has happened is that Science corrected itself based upon new evidence... it's what happens when you have a system based upon qualitative assessment of information. That should be quite refreshing as opposed to any system in which oxen are sacrificed to create a pleasing oder for the Lord...

science evolves as new data is discovered. our understanding of the universe evolves along with it.
unlike christianity which hasent changed for 18 centuries.
