Yes they do. I have a child that is developmentally delayed and has a seizure disorder. She has Absence seizures all the way to Tonic Colonic seizures and each time she does she looses things she has learned. It can make you forget things and it can cause brain damage because the seizure happens in your brain and causes you to stop breathing and if you don't get air to the brain you can have brain damage.

I sure hope not. I've had about 20 siezures in my life, and no lasting problems. My memory stays goofy for a couple days, that's about it. Best of luck.

Considering that seizures can kill you, I'd say they could.

untreated yes, they will cause developmental delay and any enterance in status epilepticus will cause brain damage or even death.
