I guess I should clarify I have seen rope them and hang them, hunt htem down and kill them,If we are adults then we are talking adult actions I understand the organized legal round up is popular choice i don't think it's feasable or going to happen if it did they would have thier say in court with "free" legal council at the states expense

Ashley is 100% correct. It is a complicated issue and the tired little band of racists here have no clout, the main interest is in sitting here criticizing and bashing. Personally I have always voted and will continue to do so. I may have an opportunity to do some volunteer work in the medical field with Doctors working with immigrants and homeless here in Phoenix, legal or illegal is not an issue.

A lot of people are. Grass root organizations have sprung up in almost every state. Although there are plenty of trolls out there and illegal proponents that want to pretend that there is trend toward violence towards illegals, the facts just don't back it up. In fact, I'm amazed that people are reacting as calmly as they are. Instead, people are working things through their elected representatives and putting pressure on law enforcement and federal authorities to enforce our laws.

The solution is really simple. We wage a war of attrition. We deny benefits of any kind. We start enforcing all our laws -- strongly. We have to stop letting illegals manipulate our system. If they can no longer work, attend school, get free medical care in emergency rooms, buy homes and cars, drive, etc., there will be no reason to stay.

We have to be FIRM for this to work. There can be no exceptions. Legal immigrants shouldn't be affected at all...only illegals and those who harbor or employ them.

I think the Majority of the 'Minute Men' are constructively working on the problem. By pointing out the obvious week point in our immigration reform, they are focusing the attention of the media and the general population, which in turn is making our law makers take note.

Which hopefully will result in the fence actually getting built, and from there we can discuss immigration reform. But until you stop the leaks in the damn you can't discuss where the water should go!

Honestly, my gut reaction to illegal immigrants is a "shoot them on sight" policy, but that wouldn't fly in today's society. And as much as I'd like to see them rounded up and deported, that would require innumerable man-hours of taxpayer-funded payroll. The closest thing to a reasonable suggestion that I've seen yet is the DREAM Act in the House of Representatives (H.R.5131). (I specify H.R.5131 because it specifically denies Federal grant money to participants of the program, where the Senate's DREAM Act of 2005 (S.2075) specifically authorizes Federal grant money.) In both cases, I would amend the bill to deny states the right to grant further aid at the state level, and repeal the laws of legal racism (a.k.a. Affirmative Action) that many of them would surely qualify for by default. On top of that, I think we should have an immediate deportation policy for any illegal immigrant arrested for any reason. Thus we weed out the trouble-makers, and document and recruit more members to the taxpayer pool.

Most anti's do not speak of the shooting, killing but rounding them up (your words) is the law.

I joined a grassroots organization, plus I am working to appeal NAFTA. I write, call and fax my legislators on a regular basis. I also plan to vote for the candidate who most closely agrees with the MAJORITY of the American people that our borders need to be brought under control swiftly and employers who break our laws need to be punished for doing so - I have no idea who that candidate is yet but I can tell you that his or her party affiliation will not matter to me. I also plan to remember all those legislators who went against the will of the people over and over again with their many attempts at yet another amnesty even though the public outcry was enormously against it.

Trying.

We need new people in Washington, though. They have divided the issue in such a way that a solution seems near impossible.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see."

Almost makes you think they don't WANT a solution.

Wonder why?

I'm glad you agree that anti's are not being racist. We aren't But have you looked at La Raza ( which mean The Race) and their organization. They sound pretty racist to me, while accusing us of being racist.

That aside, what is your idea of a viable solution, other than rounding illegals up? It is hard to respect criminals who willfully take what they want, and do not have respect for us and this country. Respect goes both ways, it is mutual. We do need to stop providing a way for them to live in this country. I have reported, I have contacted my reps, but it doesn't seem to help much.

Very few.

People love to complain, and love even more having someone to pass the buck to for all of their problems. Educated and motivated people form both sides of the spectrum understand the severity of the situation and want to come up with a reasonable compromise that would grant residency to some, while leaving a more manageable number of immigrants to be deported. Unfortunately, most of the fanatics (on either side) are not the most well informed people, and the only way they understand to get out their frustration is to preach hate and threaten violence. Luckily, these people have no decision making power, and there rants serve little purpose.

WHY BOTHER? The worlds going to end!! Can't we all just get along? I hope the Illegals get their way and take over this country. Maybe then their wouldn't be so much divorce, abortion, gay marriages, and other non-moral tendencies of the American nation. Lets all get a life and leave these people alone, and make a better life for themselves....
