Being an Atheist only means you do not believe in the existance of a diety. That's it.
Whatever else you may believe is wrong. People create their own opinions on what they believe in further and add it to being an atheist.
I'm sick of you people catorgorizing religion. and a question so this will be ligitamate...what is your personal belife?

I used to be an atheist until 12 years ago. Up until then there was always a void in my life of which nothing and nobody could fill so I started to look for more meaning in life and found God.
I understand what you mean though about being an atheist. You do not have to justify yourself to others you know. You do not have to justify your opinions, views and beliefs to anybody but yourself. At the end of the day it does not matter what others think, say or do, or even believe. All that really matters in life is that you are true to yourself, and how you choose to live your life.
Being an atheist does not mean you are or ever have been a bad person.
Some people believe in God but not in UFO's. Well there is no evidence to support either, so why support one and not the other? Or rather, believe in one but not the other?
People will always believe what they will. People have their own limitations as to what exactly they choose to believe or not believe.
If people accepted one another for who and what they are, and respected one another's opinions, views and beliefs then life would be wonderful and we would all be able to live in peace and perfect harmony, but sadly that is not the case.
Don't let other people get you down. Just let them get on with it, get on with their own live, or find somebody else to pick on.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, views and beliefs but that does not give them the right to force their opinions and so forth onto others.
Chin up... be proud of the person who you are, and live your life doing what you feel is right for you.

Ummm, mention of a diety, gives 'existence' to a diety,
in the same manner x-ians give "place" to a devil(law).
Once and for all:
Prayer: Our Father, deliver us from EVIL: Matthew 6:13
Answer: We are delivered from the LAW: Romans 7:6
Deliverance from the law(evil) is once, and for all.
If entangled again, it's recover yourself.
(Romans 10:6,7 ... 2Timothy 2:26)
Many... deceived by many... get entangled again.
Eg: Mary Magdelene had seven demons cast out.
Eg: IMPotent man healed later found praising law.
Eg: Paul felt wretched after trying out "another law".
Eg: Peter called Satan as Peter of Simon-->Peter.
Eg: Churches of Galatia bewitched by johnny law.

I am fed up of it as well. Someone sent me a huge email trying to tell me what an atheist is because I answered a question that was for non-believers of Christianity not necessarily atheists, telling me I was ignorant. He is clearly the ignorant one.

I know exactly what you mean. I was once Atheist, but I've converted to something many people feel is worse: Agnostic.
People have to categorize what they don't truly understand to explain it without further investigation. It's something you'll get used to in time.

I believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ who came to this world to save us from sin and eternal damnation. I believe in the Almighty Father, creator of the Universe and everything that may lie beyond it. I believe in the Holy Spirit. Blessed be those who truly believe and devote their lives to spreading the Word. I believe that sinners and non-believers will have to face Hell for their Abomination unless the truly repent and neever again sin in that manner, not even in thoughts.
