Well, that tactic has historically proven to be an effective way of scaring people away from the spirituality of their heart, and into the mental slavery of Fundamentalist dogma. I can name a few Monotheistic faiths that have been spread that way -- threatening people with Hell and Damnation if they don't believe.
I was listening to the Bible Answer Man on the radio this evening, and Hank's guest, an Ex-Mormon, was having this very argument with a Mormon -- telling him he isn't really "saved" because he's Mormon.
But, it's this kind of thinking that starts wars.

If my beliefs happen to be the true beliefs (one of them has to be true and I'm counting athiest as a belief system)

then if you HAVE found the true beliefs
