Babylon the Great is the World Empire of False Religion. There are many false religions, in fact, there is only ONE true religion.
So how do you know if you are in a false religion or not?
True religion will follow five things:
1. Use, respect and obey God's Word - the Bible. Not just parts of it that fit what they want to hear, but all of it. (2 Tim. 3:16)
2. They would see that God's kingdom is the only solution to the problems that mankind faces. Realize that God's government does NOT rule through the earthly governments now in place. (Dan. 2:44)
3. They would be no part of this world as Jesus commanded them to be. The people of this religion would not allow themselves to be squeezed into the world's mold. (Romans 12:2)
4. They would be known by God's name - Jehovah, who is most high over all the earth. God's name was originally in the Bible over 7,000 times until a man decided to take it out. (Ps. 83:18)
5. They (the adherents to this true religion) would have love among themselves. Love bonds true Christians. They would love each other regardless of race or ethnic backgrounds. It would be a true world-wide brotherhood.(John 13:34, 35)
If the religion you are involved with right now doesn't go by all of these things, you may be in a false religion.
When you have found the religion that goes by these five things, and not just some of them, but ALL of them, then you have found the one true religion.

It is the Empire of False Religion. People need to get out of False Religion before it is to late. They are being given a warning, it is their choice to heed it. I hope they do, as it is Gods hope. The Bible says that he wants all to have repentence, and he wishes nobody to be destroyed. But Sadly, Babylon the Great, the World Empire of False Religion has so many people sooo blind, that some will never see the light, and will always stay blind until the day of Jehovahs fury. Then the Bible says that when that happens, then the people will know that HE IS JEHOVAH.

The world empire of false religion. Note that he says get out of her "my people". So there are still some of God's people in Babylon the Great. Now is the time to get away from any affiliation with her, so as not to share in her fate.

The empire of false religion. There are so many religions that claim to be Christian but prove false. Christians MUST follow Jesus Christ in everything.
Jesus never celebrated his birthday, it's not known when he was born as Jehovah God didn't let us know. He did make sure we know when His Son was put to death though. Only one example of truth in the Bible. How many religions celebrate X-Mas, a false celebration that is supposed to be godly. It's not.

We are warned to get out of her.
This indicates to me that we are responsible for our own fate in so much as to get out we must also seek out the true religion so we know where to get out too.

Babylon the Great is generally thought to be false religion. Babylon of the OT period was the seat of pagan religions, hence the link. False religions, for me, are all those who teach a false gospel of Christ, including the religion that claims to be the ONLY religion that can truly identify Babylon the Great. This is the Watchtower society and no doubt you will get many answers from JW's who claim to be the authority on this subject, do not be misled, all cults fall under the banner of Babylon the Great, including them.
