Adult onset acne is common around the age of 35. Having never even had a zit during high school and college, I developed adult acne at 35. The dermatologist said that skin changes around that age and that it was not related to anything I was doing or eating. Go see the dermatologist. Your skin is different that a teenagers and you will have to treat the acne differently.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

That happened to me too, the only thing I could say is to visit a dermatologist. Mine told me to wash with Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser first and a prescribed topical medication after.. been clear ever since. Sometimes the skin gets dry from washing, but Cetaphil does the best job in moisturizing.

Your body is probably producing more hormones since you started at the gym, leading to these break-outs.
I would consult a dermatologist. They have prescription strength washes that can clear up your skin.

Don't wash your face more than twice a day, total. If you go first thing in the morning, just wash your face after. If you go mid-day, rinse your face with water. Washing your face too much can dry the skin - then it generates extra oils to combat the dryness and you get more zits.

Bring a clean towel from home, and wear it around your neck.
Or, use a hand towel, attached to waist. Use it to blot the sweat instead of your hand, which touches everything dirty in the Gym.

Are you taking any diet pills, or supplements? If so, then they may contain hormones that will fool your body into thinking it is going through puberty
