with a lot of the drivers going to different teams, will anyone of them have a better year, or is the saying true "Its not the car, but the Driver" Or do you expect to see the same results as this year, with Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon dominating?

I think we'll see some of the usual suspects at the top, but farther down there should be lots of changes. The Roush teams are definitely on the rebound, they've got the CoT figured out, and I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them win the Cup next year. The GEM/Petty convergence is already paying off, and Kahne, Sadler, and Labonte should all have a better year. It'll be interesting to see what Gibb can do with Toyotas, and maybe their tuning will bleed over to the other Toyota teams. Finally, I'll be watching the various open-wheel guys -- especially Franchitti and Villeneuve. Both come to stock car racing with some serious talent and MUCH better attitudes than JPM's.

Gonna be an interesting year!

No the results won't be the same as this year with Hendrick dominating. Because every one has run the COT this year and everyone will test with it so there will be other teams running better next year. And I believe Roush/Fenway will be the most successful next year.

I think next year is going to be very interesting. I think the main reason HMS has dominated this year is because they spent more time on the COT than the other teams. Everyone else will be up to par. Also, drivers switching teams, and they will have something to prove. I am anxious to see who will win this year, but I am soooo ready for next year. I feel it will be exciting.

Lots of great answers above. I'll say one thing that hasn't been mentioned. Hendrick wont just sit on their lead, the extra money Jr is bringing to them will be used wisely to keep them in the top tier. Gibbs with the most money will keep their position or even improve. Gibbs will have virtually unlimited funds and they have supplied Toyota with the latest Chevrolet technology so it is possible for them to be on top. Chevrolet may counter by keeping Tony Stewart which would be a blow to Gibbs and Toyota.

Junior will win a minimum of 5 races next year and contend for the Cup. Carl Edwards MAY win a cup next year. The other big teams will catch up to Hendrick. I love Gordo but this may very well be his last shot at the brass ring.
Toyota and JGR will win a number or races- Smoke, Hamlin and Shrub are too good.
RCR wil always be in the mix. Bowyer will continue to build his growing reputation and fan base.
Jimmie Johnson will contend but not win it. A number of journeyman drivers will continue to fade away (Petty, W. Burton, Riggs, Mikey, K. Wallace).

I think Jr should succeed in 2008, with a new team, equipment at HMS he should have a great year.. There could be some others as well, RCR has 3 great drivers now since Bowyer has proved he is just as good as Harvick and Burton, and Petty Enterprises, I have a feeling will be better next yr...JGR should have their toyota team ready to be a major contender in 2009... I'm ready for 2008, bring it on..Being a Jr fan this yr has sucked, hopefully he can end 2007 with a win before its over...

Go Dale Jr & HMS in 2008

Martin Truex in the #1 DEI car is going to show the most improvement as a driver throughout the 2008 season.

...It definitly will not be the same as this year. I think you will also see RCR more next year with the way Bowyer has stepped up here the last 5 races. I also think that success will carry over to Harvick and Burton.

...I also think that Jr will perform well.

...All teams have closed the gap on the total domination that we have seen this year and next year will be a lot more exciting for everyone.

...I'll have to admit if Jr won every race it would be boring. I like seeing competition and next year I fell like will be some of the best.

...Watch out for Joe Gibbs and Toyota. Also Gibbs is already providing help with Michael Waltrip http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/rumors/post/Gibbs-to-the-rescue-of-Michael-Waltrip-Racing?urn=nascar,49449 which has brought improvements this year already to MWR. You may see old Mikey, Bobby Labonte, and Kyle Petty a few times next year knocking on people's bumpers. Could happen before the year is out.

...Next year may be one of the most exciting years in a while.

Kevin Harvick gets my vote.

EDIT: I guess I should elaborate a bit. He's shown that he's got the talent to perform well on any kind of track NASCAR has. RCR also has shown that it's got some of the better equipment in NASCAR. Kevin has had a string of bad luck lately, but he'll be battling for the championship next year.
