Some of us like taking favorite DVD's and CD's to stores to audition speakers. It's kind of like wine-tasting for the audiophiles.

But here is a little secret: inexpensive (less accurate) speakers can do a great job for Home Theater. This is why many HTIB's (Home Theaters in a Box) work so well. Where these systems show flaws are in music reproduction. If you are mainly interested in a HT system, these box units are a great, no-decision way to go.

If you listen to more than 1-2 hours of music a week on your home systems - take your favorite CD to the store and audition and find separate speakers that sound good to you.

NOTE: speakers have 'flavor'. If you gave 3 models of similar priced speakers and asked "Which of these is best?" nobody could truly put them in best->worst order. So take a CD you are familiar with to the store and pick your own flavor.

Also - dont be impressed by tower speakers with built-in woofers. A set of 5 tone-matched "monitor-style" speakers with a external subwoofer is usually less expensive and gives you the most ability to place speakers in the room for the best sound.

I can't imagine how anyone could think that there is not a huge diference between the kind of speakers you get in a HTiaB and seperate real speakers when it comes to listening to home theater.
While it is true that home theater aplications are not as demanding as audiophile music listening, there is still a huge distinct jump up in quality mostlu due to the fact that there is often just a wide a range of sounds in one type of listening as there is in the other.
A company like JVC, Sony, Philips, Panasonic, Pioneer etc. makes electronics, and they generally do that pretty well ending up with electronics that can do a good job for the money. They also know how to make speakers that function, but that is about all you are going to get out of them. They will give you sound, but never great sound.

There are exceptions though. Sometimes you will find a SPEAKER company that adds some electronics to their speakers to give you a good system (kind of like the KEF, JBL, or Jamo).

Samsung make an overly well television. The change among the mannequin you're watching at are the facets at the television. The 8000 might be the highest of the road. You will ought to make a decision yourself on how a lot you desire to spend. Home theater in a field don't seem to be very trustworthy and bendy for including or upgrading. I might advise a separate aspect. A receiver and a collection of audio system and a blu ray disc participant. Pioneer and Onkyo are the highest company on receivers. Look on the following company of audio system: Definitive Technology, Energy, JBL, Infinity, Klipsch and Polk audio to call a couple of. Demo them along with your possess supply of song and pay attention to track one on every audio system you're fascinated with. Panasonic makes the pleasant and trustworthy blu ray disc participant available in the market. Hope this may increasingly aid you out.

separates are always a better idea. HTIBs are made to move product and maximize profit. Note that you should always compare products when evaluating.
