One of the most unique beers I have ever had was Alaskan Smoked Porter. It is a dark bee so if you don't like the dark you may not like it. I have had non-beer drinkers try it and even some of them like it. It is great with a smoked salmon or a smoked porterhouse steak. http://www.alaskanbeer.com/porter.html

From the small variety of beers that I have tried, I have to say that the best is Guinness; although there are quite a few good dark beers from New Zealand. (which I'll assume that you can't get.) I'm more of a dark beer drinker; but if you want a lighter beer, you should possibly go for the tried and true stuff like Heineken/Corona, unless someone can point you to a beer from around your area or at your desired beer tastes.

My favorite beer is a Belgian Dubbel that I make. Runs out at about 9.5%.
Favorite commercial brew is a tie between "Hazed and Infused" and "Mojo". Both by BoulderBeer in Colorado. Yummy. Ones a dry-hopped ale, the other's a strong pale ale.
Drink much of any of these and you end up Dazed and Confused.

I don't like beer...it tends to ferment in my stomach! LOL
But if I have one, which I do occasionally (well more than one if I do drink as I only do it on occasion so may as well REALLY have a good time) my beer of choice is CORONA with lime. It's light, tastes like water, and it has to be icy, icy cold and they go down in about two sips to me. LOL
As I say, drinking is a waste of time for me unless it's like 50 proof, then we're talking buzz and major rupture of the organs here.... LOL ♥

I LOOOOVVVVEEEE beer. My favorite beers are Sam Adams October fest, trader joes Oatmeal Stout, and red killians. Anything weird and from europe is usually good. I have tasted lots of beer and in my opinon those three I keep coming back to.
