time really is the main factor in healing a heart. Other than that, its best to keep busy. Take him out to be around people and meet new people. He should go and do things that interest him, be around friends, try new things. Anything to keep his mind off the breakup. In a few months, the pain will dull and he'll start feeling better. Its good for him to have good friends like you!

It's tough. Once a girl broke my heart, it took about a year to really get back on track, I still felt the effects for about 5 years, seriously. here it is about 17-18 years later and I still feel the scars left...they say time heals all wounds...for some the clock runs slower. Keep your mate busy with distractions. Stay off of romatic topics, don't suggest dating another. Be supportive and look for distractions. Overnight, weekend trips, trip to the big city if your from the country (or vice versa). Maybe get him to take up writing or music, or acting in the theatre...all are a great outlet for emptying out emotion! Good luck, keep me posted. I hate to see anyone go through a situation this penetrating to their soul.

Maybe you could introduce him to some new friends and things to do?? Maybe set him up on a blind date-or a double date to take his mind off the pain? Compliment him a lot, (but stay close to the truth-bring up his good points-don't get too far out with it, know what I mean?) if this does not work he will have to heal on his own time. Though giving him a shove in the right direction may work, and he can take it from there.

You dumped her. Aparently you probably did no longer desire her, and he did. He did no longer do something incorrect. that's different from he stole her. He would not have stored it from you, yet i'm particular he in common terms did it via fact he did no longer desire you to experience uncomfortable or harm. you will possibly be mad in case you desire to, yet do no longer permit the friendship circulate basically via this. that could be stupid on your section via fact that he in common terms took in what you permit in the past a month later.

He needs to get out of the house and not soak in his misery. Don't call her or try to contact her. Remember why you broke up in the first place.

Yeah -- only time will help. Sorry.....there's no quick cure and he seems to be taking a long time getting over her as it is.......

maybe she wasnt meant for him.. he could always find someone better off.. leave him alone for sometime too.. trying to get him back on would give wrong hints.
