I am christian but do not believe it to be right, just, or fair for those who insist on cramming their views down others throats. Nor do I think its ok to "damn people to hell" just because they do not think the same as you!

It's not what the Christians say it is what the Bible says....
Here are just a couple of verses
Revelation 20:11 thru 15
And I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found NO Place for them, And I saw the dead small and great stand before God, and the book was opened, which is the book of life' and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works. And the sea gave up its dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them" and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire, this is the second death. And WHOSOEVER was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake fo fire.
Revelation 21: 8 But the fearful, and the UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murders and whoremongers, and sorcerers and idolaters, and ALL LIARS shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death....
Pretty well covers who will go to hell......
The question is do any of these things condem you to hell?

wow...I'm a Christian....and I've NEVER threatened any one with HELL.......I try to do the walk and not so much of the talk....If I'm asked a question about God ...or heaven or hell....I'll give my best answer....but threathen....NEVER.........sooooo just who have you been talking to.....maybe you should stay away from that person and look at some one who's life is being lived well....with kindness and love for others...and then see what they believe....Have a good day.

Some Christians are zealous. I feel it is more important to let God change the world. He made it. I share with others what I've read. If they don't want to hear it, like Paul, I shake off the dirt from the shoes and head on.

christians aren't making threats when they warn you of what the bible preaches. they really believe that if you don't accept christ then you will go to hell, they don't have the power to send you to hell, so don't shoot the messenger. think about it, if you truly believed with all your heart that when you die and you weren't saved that you would go to hell, wouldn't you at least let people know, and tell them why you believe it. thats all christians are doing, telling you what they believe and why, because in their hearts they don't want to see you or any one else burn. thats not a threat, it's just caring for others.

I tell them that I respect their beliefs even though I don't believe in them, and that they should respect my lack of faith. I don't want to hear about what is supposed to happen to them when they die, and I don't want them assuming the same for me.

I am grateful that I wasnt raised in a church that believes a loving God would condemn good people to hell.

I ignore them. Every one has the right to choose one's belief. If they know nothing, why bother?

I think it's funny to see their frustration reach such heights that they feel they have to theaten me with their imaginary punishments....it's like they're really mad that I'm not doing what they want, so they're trying to make me be afraid of them and what they're representing to me. A sort of 'do what I say or else!'.
