If Jesus did not say hwe was the son of God why did they execute him.

The charge was blasphemy! saying you were the son of God, and saying you can forgive sin, only God may forgive sin, so Jesus was arrested and tried for blasphemy.

They could not put a man to death under roman rule, so they saught permission from pilate the governor. Fearing a rebellion he gave the jews what they wanted.

Now all jews agree jesus said those words. But they see him as a liar, they agree he said thsoe words, but they do not beleive in what he said.

So with the evidence for thsis as evident

why do you contiune to deny that jesus even siad eh was the son of God,

quite clearly he did say so, quite clearly he was executed for something he said

so what did he say to have the whole sanhedrin religeous council persecute him?

what says you?

John 5:18

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Alex, the question is why did the jews exectue him,?

Thanks

Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven

How can any man claim to have witness this, uinless they were originally from heave nthemselveS?

and of course even if you call jesus a prophet, then he is not a liar, so why does he say this?

John 10:30

I and my Father are one

Joashua 5:14

And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?

Why does Joshua bow to his knees before the arch angel?

you don't bow before angels mate

Unles they are the son of god

and of course as john says:

John 10:30

I and my father are one

Martha: We all agree jesus was crucified,

So why did they do it, what did he say to offend them

he broke a law, he blasphemed

he must have said he was the son of God so they saught to crucify him for this blasphemy

Even you said the stories came after the crucifixion

so there was a crucfixion

so Tabath why was he crufcified?

was he a thief, did he use bad language, was he a murderer?

he broke a jewish law, guess which one it was

so therefore he must have said he was the son of god

therefore islam is incorrect

the jews don't convert people to judaism as they beleive it is only real jews who have jewish ancestry

wouyld god create gentuiles just to se them not reach salvation

sacrifice of aniumals was for the jews,

where was the sacrfice for the gentiles?

how can they get saved if they can not become jewsih as being jewsih means having jewish ancestry?

the gentiles are saved wqith a sacrifice, a spotless lamb, but a lamb of God

There are several flaws in your 'logic'.

1) The Romans didn't kill anyone to please the Jews: the Romans totally oppressed the Jews and in fact they crucified so many Jews, that extra trees had to be brought in as they ran out of wood!

The Jews were not in a position to get the Romans to do anything: this is FACT.

2) The Jews did not want Jesus dead; why would they want to create a martyr? They regarded Jesus as merely another 'Rabbi' or teacher - there were many at that time. Sure, some Jews did not agree with Jesus, but within Judaism there are many different beliefs and groups, so it wouldn't be a problem just because this one man was suggesting changes!

3) You seem to forget that the new testament accounts of Jesus being crucified were written AFTER the event. No way were the early Christians going to be honest and blame the Romans, so they dumped the blame on the Jews. Nice!

I really appreciate the Muslim's answers to your question. I find it really interesting that they like me would waste there time reading your question as well as answering it.

I am Jewish American and respect all believers of any religion, even those that are not based on my religion (Christianity and Islam). I do not respect those people who can say their religion is better then anyone else's. These people who use verses from the Bible and ignorance to back up their claim. You can obviously read, have you ever bothered to really read my Bible, what you call the Old Testament? Have you ever really bothered to read the Third Testament, the Holy Qoran? Or are you stuck reading your verses and spewing hate?

I may be Jewish and not Christian or Muslim, but I am open minded enough to respect their religions and their choices. However, you will never meet anyone Jewish who will try to convert you to Judaism. I am positive, that only a very few Muslims out of all of them, are what the press calls Islamic Extremists. The Muslims I have met are extremely kind and considerate. I have shared salt with many of them.

When it comes to Christianity with all your different sects (for want of a better word) which one is the true one? Is it Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Evangelical, or any other Christian religion? Who are you to say which religion is the right religion? I strongly believe that the religon you believe is the right religion for you. I also believe that no one has the right to tell me what religion I should follow.

I feel sorry and sad for you. Hope that you bother to read the long answers to your question. I also hope that you will listen to what is written by me and others with an open heart and an open mind. May God, Jesus, and Allah bless you with a long life and a better understanding of all religions.

Jesus isn't he son of God. Jesus is a prophet, basically like each and all the prophets till now him, Abraham, Moses, Adam. Mohammed became into additionally a prophet, he's the final or Seal of the Prophets. it rather is the undemanding Muslim concept.

Jewish high priests often implemented laws of Torah on poor people and let go the rich and powerful people. They charged money for favourable decrees also. For these reasons Jesus used to ridicules them and call them hypocrats. Off course they hated Jesus because if he lived longer and all Jewish people accepted him as Messiah then Priests would loose there power, positions in religous community and loose the money they were making. So they accused falsely that He says he is son of God, and he also says he is king so they can get him killed.

According to God in Quran, Jews think they got him killed, but God made him look that way because God made another man look like Jesus and he was crucified. God had his Angels lift him from the room he was hiding and took him alive to heaven. Jesus will return to earth at the same age to live rest of his life. He will tell the truth and you will then believe that Quran is the true word of God if you will still be alive to see Jesus.

If you don't believe Quran it is fine with us. Believe me you can not convince us against the statements of God with us.
Those whom God guides they are accepting Quran and are converting. Those who oppose Quran they do because God has not yet extended His guidance to them. If God want to turn every human as Muslim, God can turn them Muslim in a minute. God has given free to all. So God neither does force any one. All world will accept the God's last Book Quran and convert slowly and in a large number when Jesus himself will return and say to the world that he never said that I am son of God or God myself.

Jesus never said he was God and he never said worship me. Find me a verse in Your Bible and I will convert today. Jesus was persecuted because he claimed to be a prophet not God.
For majestic: Jesus said "my father is greater than I" also He said "I of my own accord can do nothing".Sorry dont have the references but you know where they are.(would quote with references but i'm in a hurry, i apoligise for that). For the 60 year old Jewish man: Likewise I respect all religion, but there is nothing wrong with a respectful debate.

The Qur'an tells us that some of the Israelites rejected Jesus, and conspired to kill him, but Allah (God) rescued Jesus and raised him to Himself.

They rejected the fact that he was a prophet from God, that he was a Messiah. A word from Allah, and a spirit from Him and not nessecarly that he was son of God

And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they! (9:30)

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things. (5:17)

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. (5:72)

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. (5:73)

Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. (98:6)

Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him, and help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful. (7:157)

Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - (the messenger of) Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no God save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His Words, and follow him that haply ye may be led aright. (7:158)

And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. (4:157)

O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. (4:171)
