couldn't god just be an invisible magical entity that is concerned with the fate of humanity? and why does God need to create the universe?

The existence of God explains nothing about origins. They couldn't figure out where the universe came from, so the invented a God that created the Universe, but they don't explain where the God came from. Religion explains nothing about origins.

And what pray tell do you think caused matter from nothing? And what property of that nothing gave it the potential to become what part of our universe that we can see? And what pray tell, oh enlightened one, would cause that nothing to alter its state from a balanced nothing into an expanding everything?

Why not just up and spend the rest of your life learning about all of the known universe that our human minds can comprehend and right before you expire ask yourself the only question that you are currently trying to avoid; Is all of this possible with out intelligent direction and life sharing love?

I believe the stumbling block is the term "create". If you look just a bit further than what can be readily conceived, the solution might be that God is all there is.

The tendency for Man to anthropomorphize is the essential problem Man has with asking questions regarding what he does not comprehend. He simply does not comprehend enough to ask questions whose answers would resolve his lack of comprehension.

It is ones perspective for viewing that is the problem.

God did creat the world and it did not creat it,s self,do you really think this all could have made it,s self,look at how everything work,s together and how beautiful it all is,there is a God and it is clear that nothing can make something.

It's more rational than the universe created itself. I mean really, if there was literally nothing, what was there to be going bang in the first place? Logically, everything needs a beginning.

If the Universe created itself, then it is also possible for a million monkeys with typewriters to come up with Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet"!

God creted the universe!!!~ It says in the Bible that He was, and is, and is to come. Think bout it... :) ...i bet He wanted to created the universe bcuz He wanted followers and friends!!!!!!~

How does a universe overcome the first law of thermodynamics, create itself, and then reset the first law of thermodynamics so it can't happen again?
