Do you think that he is a preacher or an inspirational/motivational speaker?

I ask this in reference to the fact that he seldom makes reference to Biblical Scriptures.

I'd say a motivational speaker with a Christian influence. If he doesn't reference the Bible, than that's not preaching. Not to mention his book is called a better you or something like that.

He is an effective motivational speaker and knows the right buzz words to inspire his audience into doling out donations for his cause.

But he is not a religious preacher. Sorry. I really wonder how his organization qualifies for having a tax-exempt status though? Go figure.

Peace be with you.

More of a speaker.....

His gospel is way too soft for me.....and should have no place on the pulpit.

Where's the sin & repentance preaching & teaching?
I don't doubt the man's salvation and all but.....come on Joel.
Preach the word! Not opinions

...He is both, and he denies certain elements of the Gospel - I believe it was while being interviewed by Larry King he would not affirm that all are sinners, as it says in Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
...My understanding is he believes we are receiving new Divine information - I do not - since the Bible alone and in its entirety is the Divine Word.

I think he is a motivational speaker. He lifts peoples spirits and self-esteem...gets them going. He has little if anything to do with God.

He's a tele-evangelist who seems to enjoy building a "mega-church".

Enough said.

I think he's a money-grubbing fraud who preys on the weak minded and gullible for profit.
