What is spiritual liberation for you?

Does your feeling of freedom come from fighting against, or accepting something?

Do you feel most liberated during your search or after the find?

Does one form of freedom ever lead you to further liberation?

Do you ever feel the need to question your feeling of freedom? (i.e. "Is there even more than this?" or "Can I reach a new level of freedom?" etc...)

Thoughts...? Feelings... ?

We are all just travelers here,
but there is one who knows,
someone said she was over there,
looking into the beauty of being human.
Sometimes I spot her laughing,
and it brings a smile to my eyes,
but what can one such as I,
say about this great matter?

Spiritual liberation to me is the feeling of being in complete control of my religion. My feeling of freedom comes from the ability to express my point of view without being reprimanded for it. I feel most liberated after I complete the search and have found all the answers I have been looking for. I am constantly reaching out to more topics that relate to Christianity because I enjoy the ability to grow and expand my faith.

Spiritual freedom.... liberation...

It is my belief that anything is possible that sets me free. Not being so locked in to one particular belief that I am not able to see how possible other beliefs can be.

I find more liberation in accepting something than fighting against it. You have to be committed to something to fight against something else. That can get quite tiring. When you are accepting, it doesn't mean you have to change you beliefs to something new, it just means that you can admit to it being possible. It frees me from anger or needing to justify my beliefs to anyone else.

It is almost entertaining to see people that can not admit to something being possible that is outside of their belief system. Science, for example, consists of theories. Nothing is absolutely concrete. We are constantly finding new ways to improve upon or abolish established theories. At one point, we as a people believed that the earth was the center of the universe and that the earth was flat. People died or suffered because they wanted to say differently.

Thinking differently or believing that all things are possible has lead to new discoveries, both internal and external for many people, as well as myself. It leads me to new discoveries about who I really am and what I, as a person, am capable of. It is freeing know that there are no limitations, that there is no glass roof for my personal growth.

Only a Buddha can answer that.
Spiritual Freedom = Vimukti = Nirvana

Right now , we can only imagine about it as this or that. Buddha has replied to this question that for ordinary people it is phenomenon which cannot be explained. It is to be understood when attained.

What I believe is that , it all about bliss in continuum and peace without any negative feelings and a state of being eternally alive without pain and sorrow. A state when one looses himself as an individual , he is everywhere , all seeing, omnipotent.
As God.

Once you see a thing for what it really is, vision unclouded by programming, desires, or fear, you find there is nothing to fight or accept. If you keep a bird in a cage it's entire life, it has no concept of flight in the open spaces, nor does it even have awareness that the cage keeps him from the experience of freedom. The concept might even frighten him. So it is with us, we wear chains, & we have wore them for so long we don't even see them as chains any more but proudly show them off as just "who we are". We have forgotten we can fly! So, I guess it is relative to each, but for me awareness is where my freedom lies, & in being able to release my old point of view to embrace the new. Thanks for allowing me to share.

I think you might be too caught up in finding freedom. Only when we can release ourselves from every form of psychic prison (that of freedom itself included) can we truly be free. This should also include the dialogue of talking about freedom!!

My spirit is always free, and as long as I am connected with my spirit, I feel free too. Then the entire Universe feels to be in harmony with me, and as I let go of all my resistance, the resistance around me melts away too. As I begin to flow, I realize I have always been free; I just had to choose to flow.

When I flow, and I am free. When I am free I flow.

More connection means more freedom, and more ease of being.

Wow, Great stuff Mr. CC,
Courage comes to mind as I could not have the freedom of "Spirit" that I have had I not used this virtue as a working tool, to allow me to feel "equal" with ALL THAT rather than less than and fear ridden. Dang it feels GOOD! I did that! I got brave enough to Love and trust and accept!
Thanks for the beauty full quest.........

Feeling is not how I would express the flow state, but rather the physical freedom of expressing authentic being.

I free knowing that there is no god to torment me by sending to hell for not believing in him. I feel free knowing that no matter what others say, I can choose to be who I am.

Knowing that we all evolved on this planet eons ago, that we are all interconnected, that gives me freedom of humanity.
