Are you GPS guys and gals comfortable leaving the A-Z book at home?

All the smart ones do. Anything electronic can break down, and it won't necessarily wait until you're safe at home.

Sat navs are great, but can take you around the houses sometimes. I always check the route against a map if I'm travelling any distance, and use the sat nav for the last bit. For example, my son has recently moved to a new address in manchester. I know how to get to Manchester, and once I get to the outskirts I put on the Tomtom and it gets me to the door.

I do.Because the bloody thing probably won't work when I really need it to.Only last week it told me that I was in fact driving across a lake!
