CBS/AP) After 12 hours of meeting and hearing emotional testimony, Prince William County supervisors voted to move forward with their contentious measure to deny services to illegal immigrants. They postponed the matter of how to secure long-term funding for the plan, which includes allowing police to check the residency status of anyone arrested in the county and improve cooperation with federal immigration authorities… As the meeting began, supporters and opponents of the measures scuffled in the street before police separated

The rest of the country will be watching to see how it works out.

I think that there is a possibility of many parts of the country being divided between "sanctuary" cities and "non-sanctuary" cities.

It's just another item to report that might be of interest to some people, won't become anything. There is the old saying you closed the barn door after the horse got out. The problem with illegal imagination is that our Government is changing everything to suit their needs, so how are you going to stop anything illegal. These people coming into the U.S. know how and are getting support at the expense of all the tax payers and our older U.S. citizens that are having a hard time because of the high cost of living. There is no limit as to what these immigrants are receiving upon demand with the help of special interest groups and our Government Politics. Our Social Security System is at the point that within the next 10 years there will be payments reduced or no funds available to certain people that were born and worked in the United States.
Wake up protesters, this is something you can get alot of support to get resolved.

Love hearing it. Prince William Co. is often the bane of the ACLU's existence. This is the county that got sued by the ACLU a few years back on the behalf of convicted pedophiles and other sex offenders who were given a yearly mandatory group meeting at the PO's office during the 3 hours designated for trick or treating. The ACLU called this "cruel and unusual punishment".

Many Virginia counties are drawing a line in the sand over illegal immigration. Way to go Virginians!

If the federal government fails to do their job, and our congress and W fail to fund and insure our borders, this is not only the right thing to do, but the only thing

A public display of 500 persons chanting "Si Se Pudede" in Spanish outside of a city hall just shows how badly we need this type of policy. It mean in English, "Yes we can"
