Do they need better computers?

Okay fine, why aren't "Revelation" forecasters as accurate?

They aren't accurate because they don't believe what Jesus said. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36, Cf. Mark 13:32)

It has nothing to do with computers. Weather forecasters are poor at predicting weather. Your answer is God doesn't want any of us to know when the rapture will happen. He wants you to believe in Him and not wait to the last second to say "hey I'm with you". If you believe in God when the rapture happens it won't matter to you because you have nothing to worry about. For the rest who don't believe, you won't be able to say I have lived the good life now where is my reward? No, good works doesn't work because Jesus said let no one man boast his work above others. Faith is free. Just believe instead.

The rapture doesn't exist, which makes it hard to pin down a time. There will be a "meeting in the sky", but the bible never says the word "rapture", nor does it imply in any way that believers will be whisked away before the tribulation starts, just wishful thinking. The "meeting in the sky" thing won't happen until the bible says it will, after the tribulation, right before the final wrath, and no one knows when that will be.

Maybe they should start using percentages rather than ultimates.

For example: "There's a 20% chance of rapture on Monday, with a 15% chance until the weekend, when the likelihood of experiencing at least a pop-up rapture increases to 40%."

This is because, they beleive the future is pre-ordained. It is not. If one wants a better future one has to work at it to make it happen. Nothing is given to one for free. One must earn a better future. God is moral, so he make people earn results, not be lazy and expect undeserved, or unearned results. The future is not frozen, so you better focus on making this world a better place, rather than expecting a particular forcasted future. The spiritual is must more complicated than the weather.

I liken it to a game of cards. At first, you can only estimate your weak possibilities. Later on, as possibilities dwindle more solid determinations are made. Shoot, even weather guys aren't infallible.

Meteorology is based on scientific evidence. The rapture is not even based in reality.

if they predict a rapture in 100 years time no one will pay them! They need to create soon predictions to line their pockets.

Well their predictions are about the same as saying there is going to be a hurricane in Montana. It just isn't going to happen.
