Not all where written in Hebrew some were written in other lan.which conformed to that day and age during that time. We studt the history we find out that is why some words are written as they are.The meaning to us does not make sense unto we find out that the writer was using it in there context which to them made perfect sense. We often forget this gap. It's like going to Greek town and you trying to speak Greek without any knowledge,it just doesn't work that way.But great question that's how we learn,by asking.

seriously? I don't think there ever was an "original" copy. The Bible was written by many different people, over many many years. Many of the writers did not have any knowledge of other "books," or that they were even being written at all.

I don't know the exact history, but I would guess that it was the late Romans that finally compiled the many different books into what would eventually become our Bible today.

Which manuscript are you talking about?

The one which was compiled by the Council of Nicea? Or are you talking about whatever scrolls (most likely) which were written in Moses time?

I wonder about that. Would it be legible if it was found? I hope they do find it. That would be great. I look at Archaeological reports daily to see what they report. So far, there are only marginally interesting finds. Nothing that has to do with the original anything - except for the quarry that the stone for the Second Temple was found.

The first book that would have been recognizable as a bible, was most likely put together by the Catholics back in like 500 ad or something. The Vatican probably has copies.

Seriously.

I am sure the original copy of the Bible is still preserved. I will advise you to check Library of Congress in the UK.

this question itself is baseless, you assume that there was a book called bible in ancient time.
Bible is collection of books written by different person during various era. For most of the books even authors are not known.

Probably not everything but maybe some parts or chapters may have been preserved. My guess would be that some of it may be in the Vatican.
