To the people who believe in "God": I think that your beliefs make you unfit to answer this question. So just don't. Thank you.

The utter lack of evidence for the existence of any such being.

The ball is in the believer's court. I'm not swinging again until they get it over the net.

Refuting the belief in a god is a logical fallacy. By the rules of logic the one claiming that god (or anything else) is true must provide the proof or evidence.

But if I were to attempt this I would point out that:
1. There are many gods and each one has or had followers that believed that theirs was the right one.
2. There is no evidence that any god exists, nor is there any indication that any exists.
3. There is no evidence that any holy book is trustworthy source of information about it's described god or gods. There may be evidence that some of the historical event are accurate, but none for any of the divine interventions.
4. None of the creation stories fit or explain the know facts of that we have for the universe or life developing on this world.
5. Personal experience, while meaningful, is not evidence as all religions have personal experiences that seem just as real.

That's what I can come up with for now.

I do not refute belief. I know people believe. For reference, look at many answers on here or talk to people.

I wanted you to know I read your question but you did not want me to answer for I believe in God. So will not answer your question. I do think we need a forum in which we can talk about questions without attacking people's character.
