You'd have a LOT of outbreaks to cover. I work in one regional health department, and we have small Salmonella outbreaks 4 or 5 times a year. Multiply it by many years, and well, what do you plan to do with a pile of data that large???

There's are a few good websites for tracking foodborne illnesses. I'd start with the International Food Safety Network. Their archives are at http://archives.foodsafety.ksu.edu/fsnet-archives.htm

Another good place is ProMed. http://www.promedmail.org They're an Infectious Disease group, and you can look in their archives for lots of stuff about Salmonella.

Lastly, there's CDC's FoodNet http://www.cdc.gov/foodnet/ for more food safety info. This includes info about Salmonella.
