I was born Orthodox Christian. Candles, incense, a ritualistic mass in a language I didn't understand and it felt holy (what ever that meant then).
We hardly went to church except Easter and Christmas. Sometimes in between which i felt a lot of pride about. I don't think I doubted his existence, but didn't think about him much......only in those times of desperation....pretty much like unbelievers do.
I was in my late 20's and the Lord started stirring my heart to get interested in the things of religion. He brought back someone in my life who had became a Christian and she witnessed to me. I went to church and thought I was fine. I was living in sin (rather not expound on that) and started to go to Catholic classes to learn about how to become a Catholic. My bf at the time was and we were talking about marriage. But in my heart, I resisted the idea due to the fact that I had been raised to view them not right. I attended a small class where I learned about the steps i needed to take.......i.e. Baptism, holy communion, etc. And then the dialog class started where they required us to buy this other book about Catholic rules. I think it was a Catholic Cathecism and more. Already at the point I was told by someone that the bible is sufficient and other religion always add to it and it's wrong to do that. (There is even a curse in Revelations about adding Scripture. Which all cults do.) I remember they were teaching and saying Mary was born immaculately too (for example). And I would raise my hand and ask where it was written and they would say in their book. And I would ask where in the bible is it written and they would say it wasn't. Again and again until i knew they were teaching the people cc stuff and not the bible. I was gonna explode from the deception of these lambs being led to falsehood, but rather I didn't go back. Then things started going fast........a received a bible from my friend and started reading it and heard her out again and before I knew it I found the Truth - Jesus. I realized that God was God and what Jesus did for me and reading from Genesis my eyes were opened like i found a new beautiful rainbow color (for lack of a better description). Chad EVERYTHING was a pitch brighter. The world was changed, no rather I was changed. He give me a new heart and all my desire were changed. The Lord did a 180 on me. He caused me to be born again in many ways. Everybody noticed the change. I was eating and drinking the bible, praying and gratitude overflowed from my heart to the Lord. That was 12 years ago and everyday I am SO grateful that He chose me.
Whew! There's my life. May the Lord use my testimony to draw you to Himself.

As a child ,I was taught to believe in Jesus. It wasnt until I became an adult that I came to know Jesus personally. it was then that I realized how important that having a relationship with Him is. I was raised Roman Catholic, and then converted to Methodist.

I was raised Seventh Day Adventist and have always believed as they do. (I still do) But Jesus did not become real to me until my life fell apart at 16 because of my parents divorcing and a lot of lies that surrounded my life were unveiled. I felt I had no one in the world to rely on and trust so I turned to God and He became my father. He has changed my life in so many ways and brought me much happiness and peace.

I went to Sunday school until i was 16 and then a year to another church. I was wild for a couple or so years and then knew something was missing from my life and I didn't want to go to hell. I got saved and have never regretted it. I wish I could explain what the presence of the Lord felt like, its wonderful.

Jesus found me, I was channel surfing and came across a christian program and for some reason I stopped and started to listen. I hated and I didn't want anything to do with God or christianity so for me to stop and listen was amazing in itself.
On the program it was like she was talking directly to me and telling me exactly how I felt and how God loves me no matter what. I was empty inside and consumed with hate and anger. What she was saying made alot of sense to me and I accepted Jesus as my savior that night. I instantly felt the weight of the world and the hate lift off my shoulders and for the first time in my life I felt free. As time went on family and friends noticed the change and asked what happened.

I was raised to believe from birth. How did I find Jesus? I was introduced to Him really early in my life. The first public place I was taken after my birth was to church. I was raised in a devoutly religious household. My mother said that she read me religious stories before I was even born, and played religious music throughout her pregnancy. When she went to church while pregnant with me she'd knock on her stomach, just like lightly knocking on a door, during church services to alert me to the fact that something very important was going on. She would do the same while she prayed so that she and I would, in theory, be praying together, even though I was not yet born. So, in a sense, my mother was trying to introduce me to Jesus even when I was still just a fetus.

I was born and raised to be Catholic. Then one day, I decided to listen in class, and read a book or two, and woke up from the fairy tale I was living in. The more I talk to religious people (especially in the US) the more I realize how brainwashed and ignorant they are.

Dear Chad,
I did not find Him......He dound me.
"What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost."
