Do any wiccans/witches know of a traditional spell to perform on halloween to "invoke the spirit" for the purpose of pyschic gifts and to ward off "pyschic attacks?? - Traditional wiccan only!

Most initiated Wiccans won't be inclined to share oathbound material with you.

What sort of spirit are you hoping to invoke? The God or Goddess? The spirit of a deceased person (which is disrespectful to them and a bad idea)?

As for warding off "psychic attacks", a properly cast circle would take care of that for you.

ARE you Wiccan? Or just dabbling?

If you're looking to do some reading, I'd recommend "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham, and "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton. I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:

Ravenwolf's scholarship is shoddy and her ethics are questionable. Most experienced Wiccans steer newbies FAR away from her.

I personally am of the mind you don't "invoke" or "summon" the gods. They are invited. Nothing more or less. They are GODS and deserve as much respect.
And what "spirit" are you trying to bring in.
I can tell you if you don't understand it, don't screw with it. That's how people get hurt.

What spirit are you invoking?

How do you know you'll only get that one? What if a different stronger spirit comes along instead?

Just wondering.

No spell is necessary, just go to the pumpkin patch and the great pumpkin will make himself known to you.

Sounds to me like you may want to take it slow. Read a couple of Silver's books and go from there ...
