Hell yes!

With so many creationists around I don't even feel like that's saying very much.

There is no way to answer this question..we are all smarter than someone else about something. I tend to dwell on prophecy, so I guess I could claim a little knowledge there, but the Old Testament,,doesn't draw me that much...I read it,,probably a couple of times but I love the New Testament...It also depends on the age. We have so many different age groups on here...although some of those youngsters on here, are amazing in their knowledge..

Hmm.

Hadn't really thought about it until I saw your "question"...but...

...since I *am* "smarter" than the general population, AND I assume that the R&S population is a normal sample of the general population, then I'd have to say "yes".

For whatever that matters.

And yes, "most people" feel that they are "smarter than the average". Which would mean that there's only about 1 or 2% in the bottom 50%.

Also, did you realize that HALF of all doctors graduate in the bottom 50% of their class?

Yes, for the simple fact that I am smarter than everyone. Therefore, I am smarter than the R&S users.

However, I was wondering...what is an R&S user?

Not by a long way, but I manage to keep my head above water and learn a great deal from the very well educated and intelligent atheists and agnostics. They offer a wealth of relevant information and fact that sometimes can be a bit overwhelming.
I thank them for their input and really appreciate their efforts.

When it comes to presenting logical arguments against theism, I'm accomplished, and I've got a decent grasp of the English language, so I suspect I come across as being smarter than I actually am. I have a feeling there are a lot of smart people here who don't know how to express themselves. I also know there are a lot of ignorant people, but being informed doesn't necessarily mean one is smart. Anyone can ape pundits, and regurgitate facts.

Y!A doesn't allow for DIALOG, which is the way you determine if someone is smart, or just sounds smart.

I don't think I'm necessarily smarter than the average "regular" here, but if you add up all the trolls, nut jobs, and random ignorant users who pervade this board, I'll have to go with yes.

That is hard to answer. Some people on here I know are smarter than me, yet many are just above Forrest Gump. Maybe I am just average, or maybe above. Not sure.

Average, yes.

But the proportion of people smarter than me is higher here than in real life. The long tail is a bit fatter here.

Actually, no.

I see way too many highly intelligent people on here to have that particular illusion. I would say I'm about average, maybe even a bit under average.

It depends how you look at it.

I have read a lot of things written by people I consider much smarter than me.

I have read some other things that make me feel extremely well educated.
