Toddler has vomiting, fever and when she sleeps she wakes up every 10 minutes crying that her stomach hurts. I have an appointment this afternoon with her pediatrician. Not sure what is wrong. I feel so bad for her she she can't keep anything down. I have tried the 1 tsp of liquid every 15 minutes but she just pukes it up. NO diarrhea thank goodness.

My daughter just had that 2 days ago. Her Pedi was out so I took her to another doctor at my husbands and I place. He said it was a virus that his kids had it this past weekend. He prescribed suppositories and that helped a lot. the next day she was better. my daughter could not keep anything down either and after those she was able to.

It sounds like she has a pretty nasty stomach bug or maybe food poisoning. You can get stomach pain from either one of those, plus a whole lot of other things. Generally in kids that young, stomach pain is due to a virus though. Ask her where her stomach hurts. If it's right around the belly button, then you probably don't have to worry about it being something more serious. You should be fine waiting to see the pediatrician this afternoon. Best of luck.

I have 4 children (ages 4 to 24) and 1 grandson. Sounds like your daughter has a nasty stomach bug. Let the peditrician check her out thoroughly. Sometime kids end up with an ear infection after all the puking.

Keep her hydrated, comfortable with childrens motrin or acetaminophen, and resting. When she can eat keep her on the BRAT Diet. Bananas, rice, applesause, toast (dry).

She'll be OK. Wait til she starts school.

The ER can't do anything that her ped won't be able to do. It sounds like she's got a virus that's common with this age group. Keep giving her a tsp of liquid. I think a tsp per hour is supposed to be sufficient for this age group. As long as she's going to the bathroom and eyes are tearing she hasn't dehydrated.

Sounds like a virus. Just keep water in her and tylenol for the fever. They run their course, even the flu, in 10 days.

Unless she has a rash on her truck, or is incoherent, she's fine.

Its hard, but its part of being a kid. Sorry momma.

DONT PUT HER ON ANTIBIOTICS until theyre SURE WITHOUT A DOUBT that its a bacterial infection and not a virus. Antibiotics will nuke her own immune system.
