2 seconds?!? It took nearly half an hour!
But if they start selling hot pre-boiled potatoes with a skin on I'll know what to do.

Not really. I don't eat white potatoes, and I generally don't peel sweet potatoes. Actually, if I fix white potatoes for a holiday meal or for guests, most often I'd buy new potatoes for mashed and wouldn't peel them, or have baked potatoes. Pan roasted, or home fries, I would also use new potatoes and not peel them. But if I were to peal, I'd use a good knife or peeler... it wouldn't cost me anything so I don't see where the money savings would be. I'm sure it's a great method (unless this was a joke... I didn't check the link.

I think it is a good idea if you have a lot of potatoes to peel.

Thanks for the link. Great idea when making mashed potatoes & potato salad since they have to be boiled anyway.
