For the most part, it is American Protestants. Some American Catholics reject it too. (I guess they haven't heard that speech from the Pope.)
There are also non-Christians that believe in Creationism. The most prevalent of these groups is fundamental Muslims. My personal favorite group of creationists is the Raelians, who believe that Earth was seeded by a group of intelligent aliens.

The only people who don't believe in evolution are the people who don't understand it, have never studied it, and don't intend to ever learn about it. They also tend to get all their info from fake religious zealots and conservative crack-heads like falwell and anne coulter who lie to them for a living..
Did that chick above really say, We came from MONKEYS?! #@!&%$#@!$#@&*#@!
They think that all the fossils and skulls that show the slow progression to homosapien are fake or made up. They don't think the world's 8 billion years old but they do believe the world was created in 6 days. They don't believe in adaptation, variation, natural selection, but they do believe that Noah got 200 million different species from all over the world on a boat while some invisible man in the sky killed everyone else because he screwed up and had to start over. EASY!
And it makes perfect sense to them that some omnipotent being would say- I don't want my creations to sin- therefore- I will create sinners! Yuup, thats much more believable.

The thing that confuses most finger pointing people is, the two are not mutually exclusive, lol.
of course, evolution is part of everyday life, all life is still pretty much evolving. That has little to do w/ creation, or humans.
there is still no link between fossil remains and humans, just a jumble of dead end biped lines.
I'm Christian, btw. I follow Jesus' teachings, not the traditions of man the religions preach. Was so in His time on earth and still is.

Mostly uneducated American christian fundies yes.
Even the Vatican supports evolution so it really shows what a bad public school system can achieve.... Let's hope that one day, the USA will have an efficient public school system again and that, like in every modern civilized countries as education level rises, religious superstition and delusion will quietly fade away...

Evolution is closer to what appears to happen, though I disagree with the branching part of the theory, inelegant or not. I'm Baha'i.

What about those that support both? Maybe there was a Creator that made us to evolve into what we are now.....I'm not saying it's right or wrong...there's no proof either way. I'm just saying that it's probable.
Personally....I like to think it is true...but that's just my opinion and I ask no one to change what they think or believe.

You can't believe in both? I do. Who says that God couldn't have a method and a scientific game-plan in creation?
Yeah yeah yeah, I will get flamed by both sides, but this is what I believe. I guess it's my problem.

me :)
i still don´t see how we came from monkeys, in fact the evolutionary theory it self does not make since, if it did, it would still be going on today, we would be seeing creatures walking out of the sea, going from gills to lungs, seeing apes becoming people...
that is the main reason i could not swallow evolution, and yes, it took years for me to believe in Jesus. Creation sounds more believable then evolution.
seriously, think about it, what makes more since :)
