Why are Christians so passionate about expressing their beliefs? We believe that our point of view is correct and we like to go on debate style websites and talk about it.

Uh, your question uses the word 'compassionate' and then your Additional Details says "passionate, yes, that's what I said."
No, those are two different words, and your question clearly says 'compassionate' not 'passionate.'
My point is that if you had clearly explained what it is you want to know, maybe we could answer you.
Out of the contradictory things you say in this question, I'm guessing you did really mean to ask why we are so passionate about our lack of belief in imaginary beings.
I'm passionate about education because I think it would be a very good thing for all young to be well-educated. Knowledge is useful, as well as fun.
Thus, I get very passionate about people who prevent students from getting good educations, such as in science, more specifically, biology.
Also, I'm passionate about justice. It's wrong for some people to impose their wrong ideas about morality on others.
If you can't be passionate about things like truth, the well-being of future generations, and matters of right and wrong, what SHOULD a person be passionate about?

I'm not always 'compassionate' about it but I do find that the word needs to be defined for a lot of people. I am compassionate at times.

I am passionate in defending my disbelief from religionist legislation. Personally I don't care how you spend your Sunday, just keep your invented morality out of the schools, government and any other organization supported by tax dollars.

The same reason why you are passionate about trying to convert everyone into your religion. But also it goes further than that.
Religion is just an attempt at hindering independent thoughts and preventing people from being free thinkers.
Religion DOES cause harm to society, despite what you may claim.

Passionate. We are because we are in the minority and some of us are sick and tired of living in a world that tries to bring something we do not believe into our laws and schools and government.

Because I remember what it was like when I learned that I had been lied to during my christian years - no not about god, but that atheists are devil worshipers and a religion, that evolution is not proven, has no evidence, etc. I had bought into it hook, line, and sinker.
Now I hear the same lies that creationist tell being repeated and it saddens me.

I'm not compassionate. I usually keep to myself because I don't want an argument. And you don't need to know.
