religion is fake

Evolution happens. Yes. Scientists cannot explain where matter first originated. No more than religious folk can.
But something pretty intelligent evolved from nothing. that makes a "creator" a likely suspect. String theory says that there are up to 11 dimensions. (time is only the 4th)
So, it stands to reason, "something" is behind all this.
I liken it to this analogy, if man builds a house, well, then, there it is. But for someone to say that it just "happened" would be absurd. Einstein, Newton and other major scientists/physicists believed in God. In my humble opinion, anything that Science proves, i.e. evolution, etc.. It is just an extension of Science in the purity.. God is SCIENCE.

Yes religion is real, churches are real...I have been in them before. I see Bibles and people going to church all the time.

I think what you meant to ask is "are religions based on Truth". Sorry for the sarcasim, but I couldn't resist.

Now I'll be serious...I'm thinking about evolution...I think it could be 100% true, but we still don't know for sure, lots of evidence but no "proof" that is so sought after on this board.

Even if it is 100% true, I would still have my faith and think to myself that God really knew what he was doing. So much better to have us evolve from a lower being, that way can't we appreciate our current selves that much more and be looking forward to our future evolved selves?

Of course religion is real. The debates are whether or not the various deities are real.

By the way, religion and evolution are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Real, but not true.

Nobody has ever provided any evidence that any gods, much less a specific god, exist. People believe in specific gods because of indoctrination from an early age, tradition, hallucinations, fear of torture (for gods sadistic enough to threaten it) and other similarly illogical reasons. But no gods exist in reality; these are all stories, created for people who were scared of the world long before we understood it. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

As for evolution:

* Evolution is every much a fact.
* The theory of evolution is a theory - just like atomic theory and gravity theory. The word "theory" has a very specific meaning in a scientific context* Over 99.8% of scientists in relevant field accept evolution.
* There are no alternative scientific theories.
* There is a huge amount of evidence in support of evolution...
* And zero evidence against it.
* The 'discussion' is actually educated people trying to educate others.
* The more intelligent a person is, the more likely they are to understand and accept evolution.
* The "discussion" only happens in backward places like Turkey and parts of the united states.

Religion? Yes, there REALLY are religions in this world. Is any given one correct? About some things and incorrect about others.

Yes, religion is real. It is a man-made concept that brings together people that have the same spiritual beliefs. If you mean something different, could you please explain further?

Real in what context? I mean, religion is there, it's real. The same as science, politics and maths are real.

Unfortunately, religion is VERY, VERY real ...

But is it 'true' or 'accurate'? Most likely not.

it is as real as each individual makes it. For some it is, and for others it is not.
