Wouldn't it be more amazing if he was just a regular guy that was able to live sin free?

JESUS is the GOD OF the OLD&NEW TESTAMENT. HE is the only GOD, beside HIM is no other GOD, he CLOTHE HIMSELF in flesh & dwelt among us, gave himself for our sins, He said if you have seen me you have seen the FATHER!!!!!!

I don't think is makes the fact that Jesus didn't sin less amazing. I don't think that Jesus came to this earth to make us amazed by his lack of sinning. God knows that we are human and have been born with sin in our lives. He sent Jesus to show us that even with the sin in our lives, God loves us so much that he is willing to give his own son (or his own life) to take away those sins. That is the amazing part.

Jesus is not "part God". Jesus is God, the second person of the blessed Trinity.

When Jesus became man, he was tempted just like everyone else but he always resisted the temptations of the devil. At that time, he was just what you said "a regular guy". The temptations were great but he was strong enough to resist. That's amazing enough for me!

Christ was all human and with human desires and put aside his divinity and took advantage of only that power that is available to any human being. Though He could have said "Hey Father I've had it down here send me some angels to tell these people who's who" but He didn't. And when he was tempted He prayed to God just like we can and surrendered to God just as we can and that is how He resisted the devil. We can to the same as He did, but most of us choose to let Self make our decisions instead of God. It is a pretty neat experience when you let God take over your life, you sin less and less and less and are filled with Christlike love.

Yup. And going further, God asked Abraham to offer up his son as a sacrifice, not himself---"Your son, your only one, whom you so love." Men will surrender their own lives, but how many will give up the life of a beloved son for strangers? Which is why the trinity is a god-dishonoring doctrine---it reduces the value of the sacrifice. But of course, from my atheistic point of view, all of this is conjecture and piffle.

No, I think it draws attention to the fact that as God, he is much better than us as far as morality is concerned- indeed very much so. It is not a fault that God is more capable of everything than we are- it just demonstrates his ability to fairly judge us.

No, not less amazing! He took the form of a human so I am sure he was facing the same temptations as the rest of us. And He pulled thru.

A better question is: What would have happened if he did sin?

Yes, but that fact that He IS God is overwhelming
