ok every now and then i notice a wired smell in my mouth so of course i look and in the back of my throat on my left side tonsile i see some little white things and the are not the little white things you get when you have a infection due to a sore throat. so i grab a q tip and i have to like kinda point it at the spot and push down and that little whit thing will just come right out so one time i smelled it and it smelled horrible. like something just dead in there. it is not pus either. so i kept piking at it and just alot of those little things kept coming out. i also get it when i sneeze they will just come out of my throat. i hate it what is it? i also have changed my toothpast and also mouth rinse .

They are tonsilloliths or "tonsil stones". There are little crypts or pockets in your tonsils that collect debris, mucous and all kinds of bacteria and they calcify into little stones. They are quite nasty smelling - a cross between rotten eggs and vomit. Yum. There is no cure for them other than surgery to either remove your tonsils or to smooth down the pockets so they don't collect stuff. If you can continue to get them out on your own, that's good. And gargle with warm salt water or an antibacterial mouthwash to keep the area clean but, unless you have the surgery, this is something you're stuck with.

i had the same thing and it lasted for a few years,i used a qtip the same as you. I suspect it is something draining from your sinus's.
I use a Chloraseptic throat spray to gargle with and have'nt had any of those little white things in my throat for years...give it a try.

I think everyone gets those "little white things" that your talking about. To cure your bad breath I think you might need to start brushing or scraping your tongue. Floss. Use antiseptic mouth wash. Eat more green leafy vegetables and less carbohydrates. Chew sugar free gum.

My son gets that when he has a cold. The dr said it's from post nasal drip- it just sort of collects there and clumps up.

You could try gargling with something like listerine. Or call your dr and ask for advice.

See your dentist to find out for sure, but I would guess it is like a pimple.
