Alright I'm now an official poolee in the United States Marine Corps, I was just wondering if there is anything else I need to know or I take care of before I head to basic in January.

Get in touch with your recruiter, he is responsible for ASSISTING you in getting ready for boot camp. Talk to him and get on a Physical Training plan, and actually do the plan.

Also talk to him and see about getting taught some basic Drill and Ceremony, as well as basic Marine Corps knowledge

Good place to look for information http://www.leatherneck.com/ they have a poolee forum to be used.. tons of information as well

Learn your General Orders!!!! Would'nt kill you to brush up on your Marine Corps History either. RUN, RUN, RUN!!!! Get used to it now. Don't take much with you when you go. Your not gonna see it til you graduate and they will provide you with everything you need anyways. Good luck!!

Get your mind and body ready for the task ahead.
Make sure your bills will be paid while you are in boot camp, if you have bills. Make sure everything is in order at home, so you don't have to worry about it while you are in boot camp. Good luck, see you in the Fleet.
